    2001 Pathfinder SE 3.5

If the belt was getting more deteriorated then the noise fequency and volume would intensify. Sounds like you should get it replaced ASAP. Its not particularily difficult. Where do you live? Its not something I'd want to learn for the first time in a driveway in freezing temperatures.

Sounds like a fun day, was probably a good learning experience having your truck stuck a little. I'm going to something similar on Sunday in Toronto (Christmas Market), although being the fourth largest city in North America I doubt I will have as much of an adventure

Should be at least four per side, haven't been under and R50, But follow the arms that attach the running boards to the subframe. There should be a plate at the end. Any bolts going through that plate will need to come off.

WD40 or something like liquid wrench/pb blaster. I would spray the crap out of them, then wait over night and go for it. If you have a long breaker bar (24") that will help as well. FYI if you are going to spray them I would move the truck to the street, mom and dad might not be happy with...

Welcome! The sway bar is exactly as it describes, it helps prevent sway in the vehicle. Most will have a front sway bar as well as a rear. Often people take the rear out (myself included) to provide better articulation (movement of suspension). I haven't noticed much difference having mine...

Water in the diff fluid is bad, the higher the breather the less chance of water getting into it is. Most re run the line up into the top of the rear tail light (that is where mine is). At that point, if the water is higher than your tail light then you have more important things to worry...

    Mortonm's 2001 Xterra Build

I have been unsure of what size to get, as I haven't seen them in person to get a feel on the inside. Often The trip will just be me and my brother, however, I often go with a couple other guys, and at least once a year a group of my friends (10+) go, so it would be nice to be able to use the...

Google "melt mod" for the second gens, you can fit 255 85R16 or 285 75R16 with only a few minutes of effort. The stock tires are alright (never run them myself), mixed reviews on the rugged terrains, but unless you are doing anything super hardcore I see no reason to drop another thousand...

    My 2001 Pathfinder (R50 ) mild/budget build

Steel toe work boots are pretty tough in the cold as you found out, mostly because you have a chunk of steel underneath your foot and on the toe cap which conducts the heat right out of your feet. One of the main problems with cotton is once its wet, it loses all of its thermal protection and...

Exciting! your xterra can fit 33" tires with little more than a heatgun and a gloved hand to push in the front fender liner a little. In my opinion your pro4x Xterra is very capable right out of the box, I would run the stock tires as far as they will get you (32") and keep the stock...

    My 2001 Pathfinder (R50 ) mild/budget build

Depends what you are looking for as far as boots. I have a pair of mukluks for when it gets really snowy, but they are clumsy and I wouldnt recommend for walking long distances or driving. I just picked up a pair of these as my everyday winter boot. Ill use them for winter hiking, and just...

    Mortonm's 2001 Xterra Build

I have looked there, but shipping to Canada is killer. There is a place near me (Northern Fridge) that has the 50L indel B for just over 700, and I can pick it up. I've seen pretty good reviews for them. Small footprint too (the 30, 40 and 50 are all the same size except height) which is nice...
