Jay! Good to "see" you! Stop by any time, you still a soldier? It looks like we will be building a few of these, something on a Mog would be fun. Cheers, Mark.

Flatbed and composite panel build on Dodge 2500

Got all of the upper cabinets formed and off to powder, I assembled the heat exchanger and installed the reservoir and exchanger. Used a thermostatic mixing valve for safety. Aluminum reservoir and heat exchanger brackets are mounted on stand offs to keep the heat transfer down, and avoid hot...

Flatbed and composite panel build on Dodge 2500

Started assembling the lower cabinet bank, 16" long drawers with full extension slides, 100 lb capacity. Once everything is in, squared, and adjusted, the lower flange gets bonded to the floor, and the rear flange gets bonded to the wall. Makes the whole cabinet it base extremely strong.

Flatbed and composite panel build on Dodge 2500

Thanks, the 650 camper is 14' on the floor, 17' with the kick out, rear queen bed sits back there, 8' wide 7' tall inside, the overhead is 6' long. Its pretty roomy inside for 4 people.

Flatbed and composite panel build on Dodge 2500

Cleaned my desk today while one of my guys welded up the the reservoir for the hydronic heating system. A good friend of mine builds high end river boats for a living and has perfected the reservoir volume and heat exchanger volume to keep the interiors warm on his boats, small enough to heat up...

It's a small world! We have probably met. I'm the guy that designed the hydraulic raising fuel/spare tire carrier on one of the chase trucks in case you know of anybody looking for one! Tracy is a great guy, doing well too. Here is a great pic of James at V2R, typical driving style for Jimmy...

    Project "Autonomous" F-350

That would be great, also co drove 1597 with Tracy Graf right after we cooked 82. Tracy is responsible for getting me the rest of the way out of 82 after we wrecked, I got knocked out, broke a carbon fiber helmet, I got myself part ways out but was severely disoriented. I remember reaching in to...

    Project "Autonomous" F-350

Love the pics, I did all the BITD races for 2 years in a row, Sportsman twice, trophy truck and class 1. Had a bit of a wreck with the first TT, checked up at 100 MPH on the GPS when a minor suspension malfunction caused a bit of a larger cash flow malfunction. Video is here...

Beakin off Got the nose on, I like it, it now looks like a skinny camper from the front. Adhesive, and corner caps next, and finish the interior.

Flatbed and composite panel build on Dodge 2500

That's what happens when nobody can give you a REAL answer. A lot of assumptions are made regarding thermal values in the panel world, I hate the "it should" comment, everybody knows that!

Flatbed and composite panel build on Dodge 2500

This camper is only 7' wide so it fits a queen bed nice, and there will probably be a little storage available as there is good height in the overhead, I could also go into the main cabinet with an insert which would work good. This unit has a massive amount of storage for it's size, and floor...

Flatbed and composite panel build on Dodge 2500

Roof is on, beak is next! I thought it would feel a little "closed up" when the roof panel went on, but it still feels pretty roomy, the beak should go on tonite if time allows. The roof is extremely strong, and went on really easy with suction cups and the gantry crane, every single...

Flatbed and composite panel build on Dodge 2500

Wired all of the clearance lights that were pre wired up when I installed the extrusions on the roof panel, also ran the wiring for the electric camper jacks in the extrusions as well, here is a pic of the wiring held in place with bonded clips from Weld Bond. Each clip is rated at 50 lbs! We...

Flatbed and composite panel build on Dodge 2500

The bunk will measure 38" wide and 74" long, will fold in the middle either up or down so it either gets completely out of the way against the wall and ceiling, or forms another large overhead cabinet. It runs front to rear, right over the dinette seating which forms the lower bunk when down...

Flatbed and composite panel build on Dodge 2500

Main cabinet in, and the galley base installed. The roof will go on now. This is pretty close to the last of the bright white components, the wood work starts very soon and should give a really nice contrast. Overhead is roomy, and private, there is 30" between the cabinets. Galley...
