Why? You have to somehow get it off the island and onto the ferry, can the ferry fit a truck and trailer? If the timing belt broke, you probably have valve damage, cylinder scoring, piston damage... That's a good deal of time and money. But if you have both and enjoy that kind of engine rebuild...

I had the code p0401 also, on a non-montero...i also cleaned my egr valve like crazy which didnt help. The solution was replacing the plugs and wires.
