    2003 Mitsubishi Montero flashing cdl

So I just go a new 2003 Mitsubishi Montero 20th ann. It seems that after 15-20 minutes of driving the cdl light starts to flash. Ive heard some of you other guys have had this issue. Prior to this happening all 4wd modes work properly and after restarting the monty all the 4wd modes work again...

    Gen 3 low gas light

I think I'm confused about the traction control... I thought they were 2 separate systems... So on the Monty traction control and stability control are the same thing. And the traction control is only push button activated? When in 4wd? Also does the 2003 Monty stock radio have an auxiliary...

    Gen 3 Pics help

I told my wife I hate the color! And of course she called the color "champagne" not beige. But your right, it definitely will show less scratches. Funny, ive been searching for a montero for weeks, and this is the rarest color Ive come across...maybe its one of a kind :)

3.8L timing belt change (gen 3)

OK, seems simple enough... Are the 3/8th bolts held in by anything (welded). Also can you post the measurements? Also can someone explain how the tensioning of the belt works, specifically? Is it necessary to replace the actuator, and what does it do? Edit:I have never done a timing belt...

3.8L timing belt change (gen 3)

So you don't have to remove any of the intake? I think I might try and tackle this job, as im going to be tapped out financially after buying this gen 3 montero, and taking it to the shop is going to be out of the question. Anyone willing to let me borrow or buy their homemade crank pully...

    Gen 3 Pics help

Thanks guys for all your help... I think I'm going to pass this Monty up. Overall I don't think the rust is bad, and I consider myself an expert in this as I've lived in Oregon (salt free) and NY (salt, salt, salt) The problem is underneath the front bumper, it's missing the entire skid...

    Gen 3 Pics help

I wish I could find a vehicle without rust, I know they are out there (in my neck of the woods), people bring west coast vehicles here (I did)...but that would involve a long patient game...this vehicle is in NJ, where they dont use alot of salt...it has rust, but the frame itself looks straight.

    Rust - Puerto Rico

I can def chime in on the effects of constant salt spray in winter time...it wreaks havoc everywhere. To give you an example...I have never seen a gen 2 monty here in NYS, I have never seen a gen 2.5 here in NY, I have only seen like one gen 3 on the road here and seeing them on craigslist here...
