Sold to the 2nd inquiry, a local guy as it turns out. Thanks for all the interest.
I have a HitchGate rear tire carrier I’m no longer using. Model UHG1010, offset to the driver’s side. You can tow with the carrier, Max trailer GVWR 7500#, max tongue weight 750#. Mfg date 2011.
I’m the 2nd...
I’ll piggyback on D43’s comments about weight. I had an ARB on my Dodge and it was a fantastic bumper but...along with the Warn 15k tucked inside it was a heavyweight. ARBs tend to stick out a bit more and all that weight cantilevered out front affects steering, suspension, etc. I figured about...
What others have said...just run it on propane. Keep the outside compartment clean and carefully use compressed air to dissuade spiders from taking up residence in the burner orifice.
My initial report from another thread:
My Batwing, also from ETrailer, arrived with the box beat up. The cover had a small tear at that end and the washer/nylon nut for the hinge bolt was not connected and floating around the box. Assuming the shipping companies will not improve I agree that a...
My Batwing, also from ETrailer, arrived with the box beat up. The cover had a small tear at that end and the washer/nylon nut for the hinge bolt was not connected and floating around the box. Assuming the shipping companies will not improve I agree that a beefier box is called for. As for...
Great looking rig. Re: bedliner vs BedRug. If you’re going to be throwing “crap” into the back then liner all the way. But I loved the BedRug in my Dodge, so easy on the knees and some measure of insulation. ?
Can’t speak about the Coopers but I had a set of the KO2s on the Dodge, 285/75R16. Fanatastic tire in all respects except one: they didn’t wear well for me. I didn’t get the mileage out of them I expected. As mentioned in an earlier post, I’m trying out the Toyo AT2s on the Chevy, one size...
Here’s my 2 cents (and I’ll still owe you change when I’m finished): I drive a pickup with a shell, use it as a pickup and offroad trip vehicle. When I go offroad I use the Wilco HitchGate and the stock under the bed location. Yes, two spares for me. Works great offroad, I can also hang a...
I think a camper with the utility box is a great setup. Re: the gap between the top of the utility box and the bottom of the camper wings referenced in the pic. The box shown in the pic lines up pretty well with the normal bed height and style lines in the truck body. You can buy the lower...
Chet6.7 has it right...when are you going? DV is an area of extremes depending on when you visit. No matter the season, I guarantee you’ll have the trip you’re looking for. :sombrero:
Came from a very capable solid axle vehicle that served me well. Will be beginning the mild build on this Chevy in a few days and will try to document and solicit input from like-minded members. Looking forward to the cheers & jeers! :sombrero:
We have a 32’ Class A. Love it...hate it. Others have checked in with their their experiences and insights. I’ll just add this to the mix: with the motorhome you’re looking at (a “Super C” from the looks of it) you have the additional expenses of another chassis/engine and the SIX larger tires...
Ditto on dropping a corner. We do it at all times just in case of excessive moisture in the air...doesn't need to be much of a drop. Wife prefers the awning/room to sleeping in the truck shell.:sombrero:
There are always a few at Expo West each year so I imagine there's something close by back East. All are welcome. Try contacting the event through their webpage with this question. Good luck!
Not waterproof but you can “tape” the areas where water might get in. Front Runner makes a stout bag that holds them, reported to keep out dust but unsure about water. As I get older I prefer the slightly smaller Cub Paks. The slide latches are easier on my fingers and I can’t put as much weight...
Another satisfied PETT and Wag Bag user. It's bad enough I have to dump our black/gray tanks in the RV. I want to handle the business but once and only once. :sombrero:
