Help! FWC Being built, credit union decided they don’t finance FWC!!!

We used Essex when we bought our motorhome. No complaints. I'm told Lightstream, an affiliate of Suntrust, handles campers. Good luck and let us know how this works out.

HOW DID YOU SET UP YOUR TRUCK CAP / CAMPER ?

Some musings The MDR is a short-bed (6.5’) with a SnugTop Cab-hi shell. Has served me well for 20 years over all kinds of terrain. Here are my thoughts on that set-up: *I have a BedRug that makes sleeping directly on the “floor” easy. I use an REI 3.5” camp pad. Sitting up is not a problem...

easiest fix ever! heads up for the GM guys

Thanks for the heads up and video tip. My “new to me” low mileage 2002 Chevy 2500HD spent time sitting in a pole barn. Exercising the 4WD is good advice for ALL systems, electrical and vacuum acuated.

    New to the forum

A shovel, some Maxtracs or similar, a good jack, your camping gear, leave your trip plan/itinerary with somebody, and then go have some fun. You’ll discover pretty quickly what you need...and it won’t be as much as you might think. :sombrero: Welcome to ExPo.

I think there may be a couple of shots or two of your K10 that would look pretty cool on the front of a shirt. :sombrero:

    Callen campers back business?

Looks great! I have a “new to me” 2002 Chevy 2500HD XC 4X4 LB and I’ve been looking hard at what to do for the camper set-up. Your build has reminded me about the Callen option. Couple of questions: 1) Is it insulated and if so, with what material? 2) Did you specify the windows in the doors...

96' Ford 7.3 diesel 4x4 with Lazy daze Camper ..opinion on value

I have no idea what the camper is worth but will say that in So Cal Lazy Daze is well respected for their Class C motorhomes around here. You might consider giving the factory a call for assistance. Good luck with the sale and don't be afraid to “cast a wide net” when you finally...

Bigger is better? Long vs short bed

My ‘96 Ram Ext Cab SB is tight but doable in terms of camping out of the back and I have to drop the tailgate if I want to carry plywood panels. Upside: it has an excellent turning radius that helps offroad and in the parking lot. My ‘02 Chevy Ext Cab LB is much roomier and more...

    Alaskan on a 97 F250 4x4 Diesel

Just finished re-reading the entire thread; great writeup and engineering. A 2002 Chevy 2500HD 4X4 may be in my future and I've always liked the idea of the utility bed with a pop up. I may shamelessly steal much of your build...please accept that as a compliment...

    VOLCANO GRILL 3

This is the complete unit that can use wood, charcoal, and propane. Comes complete with a tough nylon carrying bag. I was really intrigued by the compactness and versatility of the unit but in the end, it just didn't suit our style of cooking. Paid around $160 new, I've used it twice, asking...

    Winch & Towing Mirrors

Time to make a little room out there in the garage: 1. Smittybilt XRC12 winch. This is the Gen 1 but it has never been mounted or used. All the nuts and bolts and other goodies are there. Wire rope and wired controller. Paid $495 and asking $250. 2. CIPA Magna (CM-7300) extendable, power...

    Trailer Roof Replacement - Rubber

I helped a buddy of mine with his 21" trailer after receiving a quote of $2500 from a repair facility, He bought the Dicor rubber roof and associated products on Amazon, I don't know exactly what he spent but it was hundreds of dollars and not thousands. We had it finished in a matter of hours...
