I'd love a GMT900 Suburban 2500 with a front clip/badging swap from a GMT900 Sierra 2500 HD (gets rid of the plastic front end and allows for a steel bumper/winch)
Just want to add this note for posterity - any comments not specifically relating to the LR4 platform and it's advanced alternator management strategy are irrelevant. This is not a D1 or D2 with a basic voltage regulator.
I would say the coil sprung rear suspension, fully boxed frame, additional attention paid to NVH (as a premium SUV versus utlity truck) are much more obvious. :shakinghead:
Is there a method to align these if the trailer frame rails are not perfectly parallel (in the case of retrofitting) or to adjust for "tweakage" (due to abuse/damage)?
I wish I only wasted $80 on LED bulbs (9007s). I blew about $150 on Atomic LEDs and they were so bad I could have seen better with two candles sitting on the front bumper. Absolute garbage.
I am now back to Phillips Extreme something or others which are supposed to be the best 55/60W you can...
I take that back... I looked into it and it can be done, but is questionably practical for a backup cam application because there is a significant delay to actually launch the app and start camera feed. This would occur every time reverse was selected - think parallel parking - and would...
So you want a GPS that has real time traffic, with no real time data connection. Hmm
Androids also do not support live video inputs I dont think. I think you are expecting a lot from a mobile device package.
Why the urgent need for the backup camera?
I had one and loved it (2006 F350). The only thing that went on mine from 135k to 165k that I had it was the Fuel Injector Control Module (FICM). That left me stranded in a hotel parking lot. But it also had injector stiction issues (the 6.0s shear oil like crazy) and I was planning on tearing...
Forgot to mention I went from 255/85 KM2s to 295/75 KO2s. The KM2s are really good off road - really good. But the KO2s are about 80% as capable off road and probably 50% more livable on road.
I am hugely impressed by my KO2's. I have yet to an encounter a situation off road where I wished I had something more aggressive. This includes several rocky/muddy trails similar to above where a friend was losing traction and unable to climb wet hills with MTR kevlars. I recommend them all around.
