    LR4 Coil conversion?

I still cannot wrap my mind around the idea that someone would negate the design of the original air bags by taking them off and using coils. Especially if they are good and nothing has gone wrong with them. Replacing the air bags really isn't that difficult especially if you have access to a lift.

I need some cheap recovery boards for snow and mud... Any suggestions?

You can strap them on your vehicle and not really get too upset if they walk away when you are not looking and since they are the cheap ones probably no one will steal them. Maybe...

    Maxtrax mounting ideas on JKU

Worrying about theft is a major concern for much of the items attached to the outside of vehicle, inside not so much. Does the item have to be attached to the vehicle 24/7, maybe not, Just for the trip, maybe? I have high lift (locked) and sand ladders always attached but have thought about the...

    Harbor Freight (type) Trailer Suspensions

Never did think about an upgrade to the suspension as the trailer performed well as is. Did make a box for it with a top that can be locked but also removed by slide out hinge pins. Mounted cans on the fenders and a propane tank on the front of the box. The top has a bit of a rail to secure...

    Easter Jeep Concepts: The Wayout

It would not have been difficult to put the gasoline cans behind a swing out panel/door to keep them better hidden and less likely to be stolen. Better to have an insert to have Nato cans be carried there. Those big red blotches sort of ruin the look of the vehicle.

    Wood Stove versus propane

In areas where there is a fire ban, how do you justify a wood stove? Is it just cause it can't be seen inside your tent? What about the smoke out the pipe being seen? Realizing that you are using it in the winter with lots of snow around, still I would be a bit concerned.

New trailer - understand battery system

Determine the connection by visual exam, are they N to N and P to P (parallel) or they N to P (series) then to the trailer output? My experience with military vehicle batteries (two in series to achieve 24 volts) is to charge them separately as opposed to charging them in series. The stronger...

    Awnings

I have had one on the LR for years. Solid fixed to the RR. Should be staked for wind, not good for heavy snow, bent the bars. Great for sun and rain. solid metal storage box and not cloth like many are. https://www.equipt1.com/collections/hard-case-awnings/products/series-2000-awning

    Land Rover ideas for Jeeps

I have a 5L Nato can that I keep petrol in for the snow blower. 5L put into a LR would not get me far. The SS can would look good if I had a Hummer. I managed to get a bunch of 20L Nato cans ($10 ea) from a guy that was buying them by the pallet load a few years ago, OD with very little in the...

    Preferred OZ Tent re sellers?

I bought my RV3 through Bass Pro Shop. The delivery to my door was free, could have picked it up in the store but why. They were not in stock at the store, only on line, but I knew what I was getting so on line was good for me.
