Excellent freaking point sir and one I honestly hadn’t even thought of to be honest.
As of now, my setup and the BMS will handle a 400amp pull if needed.
Great point, thanks for bringing it up
Not a clue on the amps. Probably a ton. The goal of this build is to not have to worry about that stuff sir. ?
But yea, it will wired to the lithium bank, like the air compressor and everything else.
Truck is 100% separate system. Keep it as it came from factory.
ALL auxiliary everything...
Well…
Here it is! 95% built, fully loaded for a week in the backcountry, 74 gallons of fuel, 45 gallons of water, 115 beers and 37 hot pockets
All that’s left to add to the build weight wise is the 2 side under boxes and the gray tank.
So this is very close to final weight -300 or so LBs for...
Most definitely. My stock 19.5s barely cleared the calipers.
My buddies stock calipers on his F350 were impressively huge. Probably twice the size of the Tundra
Me, personally, I’ll always stick with Warn. All I’ve ever had and never once had an issue, nor has anyone that I’ve wheeled with. I’ve taken a couple apart for curiosity reasons and they’re ridiculously easy to work on it needed.
For those that hate big name stuff, check out the Badlands from...
That’s odd. Even bone stock, with the Cummins, his front end is basically at the limit.
I just checked my cat scale tag when I weighed it bone stock before camper. 6250lbs on front axle
Soooooo, all those AEV Prospector XLs with the Cummins are basically at their load limit on their front...
Another thing that has bothered me since i installed it was the flimsy piece of garbage, but of so popular Lagun table mount.
@mk216v you can find enjoyment that the Overland Marketing Machine drove me to this inferior product, and i got sucked in hook line, and sinker.
After confirming with 2...
Exactly.. But but but…. METHODS BRUH! They’re sick! ?
Real talk… have the 17” wheels been test fit on the truck yet? I’m kinda surprised they’d clear the brakes. Helped a buddy do his brakes on his 350 and was surprised how huge the calipers were.
Yes sir. I went with the Continentals for the load rating.
As proud as I am of meticulous planning and execution, the choice of the Continentals was an epic fail and I absolutely hate them and the noise.
At the time they were really the only somewhat easily available option.
Now, Buckstop...
Not speaking for the OP of course, but I REALLY contemplated doing the same but couldn’t find a decent door that opened the right direction.
My reasoning was, I usually travel solo and walking around the entire camper to get in seemed a bit silly. Quick exit truck and get in camper seemed...
