Rear winch provision is basically all done and just need to plop one in. Haven’t done it yet because it’s lower priority as I’m not planning any real back country stuff at the moment. Still in testing / tweaking phase

So you're choosing your tize and wheel size based on aesthetics instead of load rating? Got it. Nevermind. ? Cmon man, Even FWC (for whatever their opinion is worth) suggest a E rated tire for use with their campers. Have you discussed this with Mr Mario?

Yeah. Honestly, i dont ever see the inside of my camper (where batteries are located) getting below freezing. Its extremely well insulated, and i move daily when traveling. However, i will probably get one of those 12v heating mats just in case at some point. I am in San Diego, so although...

Why I switched from a Tacoma to an F150

Absolute Fact! Several friends at dealers have been telling me the exact same thing. I think the instagram mafia is finally learning about that whole GVWR thing

Why I switched from a Tacoma to an F150

Too lazy to read the blog, but i have been a Toyota only guy my entire life and owned one of almost every model. Even the way overpriced, overhyped, and under performing Tacoma. They serve their purpose for everyday use, but they absolutely suck when loaded down, and always have. A lot more...

Hmmm... Thats going to give you about 7k load rating at the rear axle. And with my estimated GVWR of 13k+, i think you are going to be cutting it pretty close sir. Do I dare ask why you aren’t even considering load range E tires? That’s almost standard minimum on most camper setups. Love...

Well... Again, shut off your Overland Marketing Machine sir... When traveling solo (which most of mine is) if you get stuck, chances are awfully dang high you dont want to continue forward. So a front winch would just be a cool bumper decoration at that point. In my 20 years of off road...

I think the mods need to revisit the rules section and add one for insane gouging of members and make it a bannable offense.

Thanks. As of now with 300ah i have only drawn it below 50% a handful of times, but i am mindful of my usage. This will now be close to triple the capacity, so i dont think i'll ever get under 50% again. But will have it if i need to

Grade 8 of course. Underside of floor has steel slats in the assembly and i drilled and tapped them to mount the camper. This is 100% covered in the videos, and on Total Composites website, so i'm not going to keep going over this! :P

Well, the Bumper is 100% safely attached to the trucks frame and will withstand a pretty massive impact. But the fact its not removable makes installing the rear winch 10x harder, and the real fuel pump inaccessible. The camper to subframe mount is 100% covered. Basically 6" aluminum disks...

Yeah, I normally dismiss the cold charging issues most claim to worry about but seeing how often you are actually legitimately camping in sub zero stuff, you get a pass! ? However, these do seem a lot easier to setup with a small heating pad than the others

Magical Things can happen when people ignore the regurgitated out of date tech via Instagram and the Overland Marketing Machine and go into every aspect of their build with an open mind thinking what’s the best way to do X, Y, and or Z ? Thanks. Yeah, will document for sure. The way my friend did it on his boat was slick, just like a computer network cabinet. I’ll try to snap a pic next time I’m over there. will take up a similar “footprint” as my single 300ah since I can stack these.

Random update since this has been in the back of my mind for awhile. I'd been running a single 300ah battery (will be for sale soon, PM if interested) and its served me well, but had been looking to add another for awhile, just because... Can never have enough juice! But i'd been putting it...

Thanks for the kind words. The white material in between is HDPE. All the other stuff is detailed in my videos (maybe you missed it? lol). As for being pleased with the design, attachment method, and what i would do different: Rear bumper should NOT be one piece with the subframe (i place...
