My current Motovan has WWWWWAAAAAAAAYYYYYYYY better brakes than my 97 E150 with V6 had. Both in ability and feel. I have a 5.4 V8 and it's adequate. Plenty of one tons out there with gas motors, either the V8 or V10.
Made and installed a cargo/safety net for my sleeping platform that will allow us to alternate drivers and sleep while the other person drives. No it's not safe in the even of a crash but at least you won't be injured by rolling out of the bed while underway. I can also fit two of those black...
In regards to the hitch extension question, since you have a RB you could use a 20" extension and it would only be like the EB. How many inches of extension would you need to be able to swing the doors open? On my last Baja trip we had a swing away luggage basket with fuel cans. We swung that...
I'm running the 4" WeldTec lift kit and on my last trip to Baja I recall coming to the conclusion that I didn't want or need a steering stabilizer. I only have 30.5" tall tires though. If the steering ratio was a little quicker, say 2.7 turns lock to lock instead of 4 full turns, then it...
I reassembled my dash after adding the Pioneer 4100 NEX, volt meter and an extra 12v outlet for the passenger. I now have Apple Car Play, Android Auto, bluetooth and hands free call/text.
So I did exactly that and got the mid sized Mr. Buddy heater, the Portable Buddy. I also got an 11# propane tank because of the smaller footprint compared to the 20# tank and they were on sale at my local propane shop. I also got one of the 10 ft hoses for some flexibility in where each unit...
The HID lights are all you really need for the street. Driving at night in Mexico, in the dirt, down a road you've never seen before...no such thing as too much light.
This is the light bar I bought...
Added a 40" curved light bar. 400 watts, each 5 watt Philips LED chip has a prejector lens. Throws a lot of light a long ways. Bought new off eBay on black friday for $125. Great bargain if it lasts.
Just the light bar
Light bar plus high beams with Redoval's HID headlights.
Huh? How is the CG of a step van any different from any of the other choices? I'd say the Ambulance has a higher CG just because of the box complexity and cabinets etc. Anyone with a steel roof rack and anything in it probably has a higher CG.
