Hi everyone,
Well I am looking to get a CB setup into my '97 Dodge Ram with a FWC on the back. On my Cherokee I used a mag mount Wilson 1000 and SWR tuned. It has worked great and I would pick up and transmit further than anyone else in the groups I have traveled in. Not having a rack on...
So I read that report you post the link to and I think it is typical magazine BS. Warn, who had the highest electrical use, most expensive AND broke during the stall test, wins first place? Come on! Personally any winch test that the winch breaks = failed. I would have put Engo and...
So you learn something new every so often. As I posted above, I had issues with the fuel shut off solenoid. Having tested (and two other people) the wiring and getting the correct voltage going to the correct wires when you turn the key to either run or start, everyone figured the solenoid was...
Just to close out this build, I recevied payment for the 1010 today and the buyer is arranging shipping. It's headed for a new life in Ohio.
Thanks for everyone who has followed and sorry it never made it any further in the project, with me at the helm.
Offically sold. Check in hand and buyer arranging shipping.
Sad to see it go but happy it will continue it's journey into a camper.
Thanks for the kind words and best wishes.
Based on what I had been reading, GM was looking to drop the Colorado line (midsize truck) due to poor sales. Maybe that was just going to be in the US market.
I sure know, in my area, compared to the S10 truck series, I see almost no Colorados out there. Tons of full size C/K series. It...
Well, I didn't want to say anything until it was in my hand. I have a check being FedEx'ed to me and should have it in the morning. It's heading to Ohio.
Thanks for the tip. We already checked power at the connector and the test documented in the FSM and found it bad. Should have my new one tomorrow.
As for the shocks, I picked them up from ORW for $179 each.
Not that I have a rig that this would fit on but I am curious it you experience any slop/play in the swing outs using hiem joints for the pivots? This might solve a problem for my dual swing outs I want to build.
Bump for a cool bumper.
Got a cool shot of the rig at El Mirage dry lake, from this weekend. Was out there with a buddy who runs a LSR car. He ran a 184+ mph run breaking is last month record breaking run of 170 mph. It was awesome.
I'm really loving this setup, especially going out solo. It's so easy to...
Wow, only 4 miles each way... definitely not good for a diesel. Really hope you are changing your oil way more often then recommended. You're not getting it hot enough to evaporate any water moisture, which is really bad.
Love the ARB bumper BTW.
It is substancal. The steel cable accounted for almost half the weight of the winch. I couldn't believe it when I took it off. :Wow1: The synthetic line was approx. 1/5 the weight of the steel. I think the hook almost weighed more than the line.
Definitely a worthwild investment beyond the...
Sorry to hear about the lack of response from FWC. It is definitely your luck. Stan and FWC has been very responsive to my emails, phone calls and even posts on other boards. About a month and a half ago I was thinking of buying a used Grandby from a guy in Redding. I contacted Stan about...
Sweet!!! It's alway nice when you spend money on something and it actually works like it should. We'll have to hook up sometime so I can check out the new setup.
I am getting a set of 5160's and have National Spring do a rear pack and likely coils. I am not looking to go much higher than...
