I got my ome kit on yesterday. It rides nice but yeah it's rough. I think the medium would be nice especially in the front. It is nice the think I can throw a decent amount a weight in and not worry. The one thing that came up was the alignment. Apparently I had all kinds of seized bolts and...
Shocks and springs are in...man this thing is tall. Took it in for an alignment and they said the camber bolts were seized in and they did there best. Said it's pretty decent but the steering wheel is off and they can't get it straight...that's going to drive me nuts.
Yeah that's kind of my thoughts I guess better to have them then not. Just the other day I filled the back with buckets of river rock and it was sitting loooow
I just realized they sent me the hd package I don't have bumper and don't carry a lot of weight but am thinking of getting a small cping trailer. Am I going to hate the ride?
I had one. The timing belt broke it...no big deal slapped a new one on and kept going. The head gasket blew and I decided that with kid some anti lock brakes and airbags would be a good idea so I bought a gen 3. I sold my gen 1 to some guys who pulled it apart and rebuilt it. I see it driving...
I finally going to just except I don't have time or the place to put my new shocks and springs in so I'm going to pay my mechanic to do it. It's the stock height one so I'm wondering if there is anything they need to look out for. I just don't want them to get done and set it down and realize it...
No a whole lot of help but my truck feels the same I have shocks and springs from ome sitting in my garage that I need to get put on the truck. I went with the smallest lift and honestly I'm not sure what springs I have but I'll report back once I get them in. I emailed the guys at adventure...
I would check them. I'm still not convinced mine are fine I think I'm going to have to get a second opinion my brakes have been a problem since I bought the truck two years ago. That being said I think mine feels like yours I have had my drive line checked twice by my mechanic but I think I'm...
All good things to look into. I'm very suspect of my brakes even though my mechanic did new calipers, rotors, and brake lines. 6 months after the left caliper was seized again. It was replaced under warranty then a caliper bolt fell out getting off the highway .
I drove this thing over bridge that was mostly grates and it was damn scary I had a hard time keeping it in my lane. I had my tire place check out the ball joints and ti rod ends a few weeks ago when I got my tires rotated and they said they were fine...they also said my brakes were good and we...
I still have the original wheels on it so I'm good there. I haven't been happy with these tires for awhile so I think I'll get my shocks and springs in, get new tires, and then get a good alignment. Now all I need is $$$
I had the tires balanced 6 months ago and the alignment seems good. The tires came from pep boys I guess. They just seem to be so much louder then my old ones. Even louder the Cooper St tires I had on my landcruiser. Maybe it's just the tires...only one way to find out I guess.
My 2003 gen three is awful on the highway and I can't pinpoint why. First the drivetrain feels like it has bad ujoint (I know it has CV joints but that what it feels like) my mechanic has checked the drivetrain and days it's fine. I had all my fluids changed and used Montero fluids. I have...
Update: after a few weeks of driving the noise has not returned so think this is a decent fix that takes 20 min. I recommend you take a picture of of the set up before you disconnect everything. The replacement unit I bought did come with the color coded marks so I just used a paint marker to...
