A little back ground. The truck has new gen 2 ucas all new tie rods and ball joints. I have a pitman arm in my garage just need to find the time to put it in. The truck also has coopers at3 tires that have maybe 15,000 on them and new alignment and new shocks all the way around. I'm leaning...

I just feel a ton of vibration above 65 I think I may have a bad u joint but the feeling comes from the engine. It's all tuned up and runs smooth but you get it above 3000 rpm and it shakes like the space shuttle.

My gen 1 lwb is not so awesome on the highway and I was wondering if its just mine or if the gen 1 is general not awesome. Mine is fine till about 65 anything over that and it just feels like I'm pushing it way to hard. It's a 5sp with 31. X 10.5 on it. Just kinda wondering

I bought my 1990 with 280,000 ish miles a new motor 80,000 miles ago for$1600 and thought I paid to much but it was the model I wanted. I have spent near $5000 to get it into decent shape with a lot more to go. Don't do it for more then $1000 replacing the Windows alone is going to suck

I picked some second hand gen two seats and they are in pretty rough shape. I tool them to an upholstery guy and said if I can find a precut kit it would save me a whole tone in labor. So anyone see anything? I'm not picky on material. I searched the interwebs like crazy but came up blank .

Well out at 6'5" I don't think I'll fit. I built a sleeping platform and with the seats all the way forward its just under 79" and 54" so that should be OK

I have been working on the same idea. At first I thought a westfalia top off vanagon would work with some modifications but its to long. I'm still researching but I think with that big *** sunroof in the back it would be so easy to get in and out, it would be so cool.

I bought 555s tie rod ends for my land cruiser . man that's what I love about Montero's I don't feel the need to buy the fancy stuff 1h8mud brain washes you into thinking any thing not Toyota and your truck is going blow up. They were nice tie rod ends though

Buy a scanguage. One of the best ways to get mpg is to change your driving habits. Get scanguage and calibrate it and pay attention to it. My Land cruiser was pig in the gas department and scanguage taught me real quick that I was driving like dickhead.
