Can't and won't deviate from that; I had a trailer brake controller failure with my 26' behind the Excursion once and it was downright scary slowing it down. Don't blame you one bit for that thought process.
Agreed on the design for towing and................
I'll take that bet anytime you want.....I already have three Tacos and a JK; snatched two Tacos and the JK out with my bone stock LR3 in the Hawaii mud after I parked next to them and then drove circles around them to see if they were okay...
Since its been raining and COVID closures here in SoCal, I have not had much progress on the finishing of the rear swing-out; just add WD-40 and ride it out so I can complete it and out for PC eventually.
On that note, I have been shopping and updating my camping and kitchen equipment and the...
@Ray_G excellent pics and write-up; much appreciated. So with my sleeping platform I held off a long time on the drawer build because I wanted to make sure I do it right and only once. I have since decided that I want one large platform slider (maybe two but one for ease I think) that will...
5.11 Jeans are really nice too and don't look "tacti-goon", have any tactical look, covert branding, yet numerous pockets exposed and hidden. I have a few sets I wear almost daily and they are extremely comfy, flex/stretch, and perfect for my CCW needs. Levis also makes really nice Jeans as...
Many high performance aircraft have iridium sun protection in the windscreens and the real issue is now with digital screens on glass cockpits. Old analog gauges are not the issue, it's current generation and future generation glass cockpits and windscreens. Look at your IPAD or smart phone...
Here is another option; I used these for years in my off-road ATV/UTV days. I still have two in the garage for emergency use. Since you said that size or shape doesn't matter, I would definitely use these. Pick a color, mine or white but technically the law says you can't fuel unless its red...
Yeah man, especially you know some of these peeps do early lease turn-overs too! On that note, upgrade speakers are probably not going to be hard to come by and you're not gonna be able to hear those sweet beats in that beast anyway over the awesomeness of your new Defender hoots and hollers...
Here's that link to the Scepter accessories. Great kit all around; looks like he's out of cans but check out the Water (MWC) and Fuel (MFC) accessories!
I have the MFC caps and wrench and the best Scepter leak stop and pressure seal ever!
JAGMTE Scepter Gear
Not about speed or anything else; I'm mostly a helicopter guy so we all-weather it for longevity and reliability. I think the OP said he wanted to be able to remove and reinstall and my point is that weatherproof is only as good as the initial installation; if you break the seal, your install...
Yep, X2 million on the Sceptors and I think I have a reminder somewhere on the fuel cap mod that is worth every penny. Turns the plastic seal into a machines aluminum over rubber seal and that really helps in hot weather a ton. Not to mention, the Scepter fuel cap wrench is a good piece of kit...
Not sure what your width is but would two Exped Mediums fit side by side; two really opens up your other options like how I use mine and they sides are really nice where you wouldn't feel the seam between the two much. Just a thought!
@Blaise @DieselRanger you two better knock it off with the facts; this is a feelings based thread that will never win with the nay-sayers who are nay-saying their own nay-sayings.
And all of those videos were clearly Jeeps, H2 and H3 Hummers, and 1982 Defender (Maybe Santanas) with balloon...
After 11 pages of reading and tangents, I guess I'll add my two cents even though its not worth that much. First, being in aviation, we generally never run vertical bulkhead connections unless they are under cover and I stick to this same theory with my wiring. If it were me, and this is what...
Zarges cases look like a nice piece of lightweight kit; lighter and cheaper than my current Pelicans and I just might design my slide out shelf around these cases over the Wolf-Packs just so I can leave them out and not panic about weather.
@Ray_G how do you like the FR Wolf Pack boxes as a longtime user? Worth the $40 to stuff under my sleeping platform?
Man I wish the LR3/4 had swing out rear doors....lol. I need to get some L track down on my sleeping platform as well cuz that Starboard is like an ice rink for stuff I put back...
