I've visited the Harley Museum in Milwaukee and it gives you a real sense of history and place of the Harley. It's cool to see the evolution of the product and how closely it's remained to the original. I'd imagine the Jeep museum will feel very much the same.

Any ideas as to why they put the gear selector up on the dash instead of on the steering wheel column? I get that not having it in the console allows for storage in the console or the 3rd middle seat, but why a handle selector up on the dash?
