    OzTent Owners, Carry Bag Question

USDExchange rate: $ 1 USD = $ 1.356 AUD I ordered a bag for m y RV3 yesterday. Very interested to see what it looks like and how it performs. Cost in AUD $221.00 AUD including shipping, so my cost $162.92 USD a reasonable price, I think. I'll let you know how long to get here and how it...

    Post up your drawer/storage system

I'll leave the winter camping to those that like it. Winter is the time I use for prepping the rig for summer travel. Happy trails

    OzTent Owners, Carry Bag Question

If you look at the Drifta site and check their prices, keep in mind they are in Australian dollars not US.

    OzTent Owners, Carry Bag Question

I had sent an email to Luke at Drifta concerning the possible fading of the bags. I was interested in the black as they make (at this time) 3 colors, black, OD and camo . All colours will fade eventually but for the brief time mine is exposed to the sun on the roof rack it probably will not make...

Looking for an '06+ LR3 with HD package...

The idea of adding something to a vehicle that is low cost (relatively speaking) doesn't sound off the wall to me. Mine came with the locker but there were other costs that were unknown at the time of purchase. PO was not forthcoming about some things and I was not aware of them even though it...

Toyota Tacoma 4x4 2016 Overland Motorhome

Looks good. I lived in a Dolphin for a year. It is also on a Toyota truck frame although was to a 4X but would have really helped me in some situations. Would really help if you not just showed the door for the storage but opened it to show spacious area inside.

Good reflective paracord - hi viz?

When you consider that just two of those tensioners are $14.95 at REI (through the MSR name) the cord really is actually free. Good deal. or, get them from Amazon in a ten pack for $6...

    why skottle?

I use a pan. A non stick pan that I got at a thrift store for $2, they were all out of the $1 pans. This skottle thing is just another object to carry and find a place for. ...and the idea about if I don't have the latest 'thing' to carry around and shout out 'look at me' that I am not labeled...

RR/LR3/4 EAS Front and Rear Valve Block Rebuild with Pictures!

Well done. There are so many parts on these vehicles that sometimes keeping up with things that can be done in our own garages doesn't always get on the maintenance schedule. I especially like the push together and turn arrows on your assembly views.

    Rainy night in an Oztent

Had not thought about leaving the fly on full time, makes sense though. Does it cause any additional problems folding it up to put in the bag? Watched a video of a company that makes bags and they also do OZ tent bags with a bit more room but since mine is fairly new an has no rips I haven't...

    Camp Stereo

******** I really hate it when some sob brings his music to entertain us when we have gone to the trouble to go 500 miles for quiet. Leave the noise at home or just stay there.

    LR3 questions

I bought my coolant from LR dealer (XLC). It is made for the LR, not going to cheap out on internal stuff. I also use Castrol 5/30 oil per the manual, it costs a bit more but the LR is worth it. Changing oil at between 5K and 7K miles. Always change the filter and the plug. Get them from...

    Offroad tool kit

Adventure Tool Co makes great stuff and it will last a very long time. Thinking of getting the tarp myself, I have other items from them. A pipe wrench is a great versatile tool and I only use hammers with wooden handles, cushions the shock.

Post your favorite classic cool rig that is now worth too much to enjoy?

I miss my MOG and would love to have that blue one. Two of my old vehicles are hopefully still on the road. One is in North Dakota on an Alpaca farm and the last I saw of the other one it was in Big Bear in CA. I worked on both of them (Mog and Pinzgauer) for years and it was sure cheaper than...

    Marn's Basic M-416 Build

A fine job, serviceable and you did it yourself. You will probably always be making adjustments to your design but you have a great trailer there.

Toilet paper. RV type or regular?

I think that most TP is biodegradable but perhaps the test is what feels good on your bottom. When I lived in my RV I used regular store bought paper, although paper from an RV store would surely be 'proper' for disposal.
