    Living with a Powertank

We have a couple of those where I used to work. I never saw them but heard the warehouse guys talking about them. A guy bought them out of the hold of an old ship along with a bunch of machine equipment and couldnt do anything with them. He tried to interest us in them but they were so pitted...

    Living with a Powertank

In all safety discussions I have had it's always been not what is likely to happen, but what could happen. One fatality can f your day up. It's not dangerous if handled correctly. Its more along the thought of leaving a CO2 in a hot vehicle, here I have seen temps in a closed vehicle in the...

Handled and stored safely, you will never have a problem. Not handled correctly and it can lead to some issues, this was a pretty nice Kenworth at one time.

    Living with a Powertank

I've been in the gas industry 35 years. You know there is a reason they have filling procedures and dont just say fill it till it runs out. That was the standard way 20 lb propane was filled for years, then Airgas burned down half a block in Tulsa when an over filled propane vented and ignited...

    Living with a Powertank

Possibly bad safety, but lack of headspace creates some serious issues. Heat changes the equation http://www.catalinacylinders.com/support/dangers-of-overfilling-co2-cylinders/

    Living with a Powertank

Many places dont pump their own CO2 but have it done by another company. So instead of taking your cylinder, sendng it off on a weekly route truck to get pumped, then waiting for it to come back in a week or so later if it doesnt get lost, they just exchange. If the people who fill it follow...

    Yeti Lawsuit

The first high end cooler I saw was Australian, saw two different brands I bet 15 years before I ever even heard of Yeti. A guides boat I fished in Key West in 2000, eva cool or icey tek, maybe esky, cant remember now but Yeti was far from the first. So I guess you have to make a choice as to...

Who tows with a diesel Colorado ?

Actually I had an 88 and a 97, with the 4.3, automatic and 3.73 gears mine towed pretty well. A heck of a lot better than the 2,000 lbs mentioned.

Who tows with a diesel Colorado ?

I drive about 60,000 miles a year, I get real attuned to gas prices quick. LOL My Tacoma doesnt shake me up too bad at 19 mpg, but the Nissan Xterra I was driving got about 15 mpg on a good day. At the height of the gas prices I switched to a Honda CRV. Sold the X at a good price and the...

Who tows with a diesel Colorado ?

If fuel hits $4.50 a gallon again one long trip at 15 to 20 mpg instead of 3 to 6 mpg could damn near pay for the trip in fuel savings.

Who tows with a diesel Colorado ?

a one ton truck for a single axle trailer is sure enough overkill. I dont care for big trucks cause they are a pain in the *** on job sites, so I havent owned anything the above an Frontier or Tacoma in years. Never had a seconds problem with 4,000 lb trailers but then I grew up working 1/2 and...

Who tows with a diesel Colorado ?

Peak torque is at 2000 rpm, that aint much screaming. I dont see why anyone would buy a one ton truck to pull a 3500 lb single axle trailer?

    Question: Cooking with cast iron

I started out hard core no soap in my dutch ovens, started experimenting. I really cant tell the difference in soap or no soap. Not hard core scrubbing, but a light wash then I give mine a light wipe of oil after every wash. Thats more to do with storing them in my camper than worrying about non...
