Thanks for the helpful suggestions thus far. I got started building a prototype, just a plywood box that will get wrapped in either starboard material or aluminum sheeting.
Working on the interior now which will hopefully be very functional.
It is unfortunately going to be very heavy...
I found these doors while searching and they will do custom sizes, but they are fairly expensive.

Greetings all,
I was searching trying to get some ideas for a storage box I'd like to build for the front of my trailer. I have a utility trailer with a FWC on it and have a 24"W x 24"H x 54"D space that I'd like to build a box with a slide out drawer that would contain our kitchen setup...
The sequoia is a good bit bigger than the 100. We have both. The sequoia 3rd row seats are actually very useful whereas the 100 not so much.
If you don't plan on doing any serious off roading the Sequoia is a much better bet.
Is the lock and roll easier to connect in less than ideal situations?
I have very little towing experience but recently got an AT trailer and the newer max coupler. It works great but isn't the easiest to reconnect when you're not on flat ground.

Our friends @Mainlineoverland are getting one if for me to use in the kitchen area in front of our camper.
Call timbren to discuss. They make spacers to bring the bag up or down. They recommended a spacer for my setup to keep the timbren close to the axle when unloaded. This makes he timbren engage immediately when loaded with the trailer and keeps the ride from being harsh when unloaded.

The thing I like about this thread is that everyone is looking for the right solution for their particular situation and the way they use their vehicle.
I must've read through a half dozen times before designing and building my setup. What works great for us may not work at all for someone...
Not me. I designed our driver side drawer to be easily removal for just this purpose. That contains all of our kitchen kit so has light weight quick disconnect slides on it so it can be taken over to a picnic table or other area for cooking.
The passenger side compartment has the 500 pound...
If I were shopping for 100 series today I would be looking for an 06 or 07 since they have both the five speed transmission and the variable valve timing.
2003 was the first year of the five speed transmission and 2006 first year for some additional horsepower.
The land cruiser gets 12 to 13 and less than 10 when towing the trailer.
My four-wheel-drive 5.7 L tundra gets about 14 or 15 driving mostly around town for work.
I guess it's not that huge of a Delta, but it is pretty significant percentage wise.
Sorry just found their figment guide and looks like it won't work with my Tundra. I was hoping it might be universal fit based on bed length but looks like they have different models/units for different trucks.

My daily driver is a tundra with the 5.7 L V-8 so yes, compared to that the 4.7 is a bit of a dog. My wife has a 06 Sequoia that has the variable valve timing and Is a stock dd so weighs a ton Less and has standard size tires on it and the 100 is pretty slow and fat compared to that as well...
