    Oruxmaps with garmin img files

FYI - you can use Basecamp or other open source tools to assemble all the .img files into a single one. also, i haven't tried Orux with an actual purchased Garmin file, i read those didn't work still though that might be old info. i have to give an opposite opinion from gahi, i still find the...

Are any of the Android topo apps one time download apps?

i believe the OP is looking for an Android app that reads *vector* topo maps for the US. unfortunately, on Android there is currently no great option for this. nearly every "topo" map/gps app on Android uses *raster* tile-based maps. most even use the same free map sources, with a few offering...

    Best Android Overlanding software?

BCN's main downside for me is that it won't let you select a large area for detailed download. i realize this is a major bandwidth hog and costs the map providers money to serve the content. however, as a spur-of-the-moment explorer i expect whatever app i use to be able to store at least a...

    Best tablets for navigation?

sites like woot.com and dailysteals.com often have cheap refurbished tablets that are great for someone wanting to try out this idea without dropping a ton of coin. i'd stay away from the cheaper brands though (Coby, Pyle, Kodak, Vizio, etc.) and prefer something like Samsung, Motorola, Asus...

    Scepter MFC spout holder

i had to dremel the grippy part of my spout down some to get it to fit... it seemed easier to take off some of those corners some than dremel down the threads of the ABS cleanout.
