Traxide dual battery system - Which version to get?

Good info PhyrraM I would be asking some questions of Traxide. Per their website - "The SC80 has been in production for more than 20 years since it is was first introduced" Relatively old technology, repackaged? A basic battery isolator + custom cables for your vehicle. I went Blue Sea...

Is there a vin decoder to tell me if an LR3 has the hd package?

Entered my VIN. Top of report was pretty useless and inaccurate, but scroll down. For my LR4 the "Minor features" list included LOCKING REAR AXLE - E DIFF

    My opinion of Land Rover

Interesting opinion that lacks historical context. The RRC was developed in the 60's after a Road Car on Land Rover chassis (Road Rover) vehicle was offered in the 50's. By the 60's the SUV market began to emerge with competition from International Harvester, Ford and Jeep. The Scout I / Scout...

    LR3 285/60-18 versus 265/65-18 MPG

Good to hear as I run AT2's. That's very good mileage for the heavy LR3/4. Now wish the AT2 was available in a LT 265/65-18.

    LR3 285/60-18 versus 265/65-18 MPG

LT AT3's in 18" are all 32"+ O.D., requiring permanent lift on LR3/4's Below 32" the AT3's are standard ply. Too bad the 265/65-18 isn't offered in LT as I would have went with them.

Agreed, still it's another spend. So Land Rover should acquire GAP Diagnostic and integrate the functionality?

Yup, thinking ~31.5" OD is near the max for bump stops. Could be smaller. Which says anything larger requires another spend - the IIDTool

Overland Journal Project Land Rover Discovery 4 (LR4)

When I was shopping for tires I wasn't looking for a pure winter tire. A good AT tire is fine, if correctly designed. My reference point was my RRC on Grabber AT2's, which performed great on snow and ice in the Colorado high country and across Colorado and Kansas. My other reference point was a...

Here are my experiences/current setup: - 18" LR3 wheels - 1.25"spacers - General Grabber AT2 LT285/60R18 Very, very close clearance between caliper and ID of wheel. Very minor rubbing depending on which wheel is rotated to alternate front corners. No shaving of calipers required. Wheel...
