    Lid Removal ARB Fridge

This is my second ARB fridge and have not had a reason to remove the lid. I did remove the previous fridge lid and discovered it really was not necessary to do so on this one. I clean the fridge after each use with alcohol in a spray bottle and a paper towel. It is firmly bolted to the floor of...

    LR3 Front bumper options

I have the ARB front with 12K Warn winch. Yes, did have lots of help putting it on, it took three of us but went rather quickly considering. I have the 4X4 Tactical rear and Eric and his wife came to Denver (called it a vacation road trip) to put it on after the first one did not get built...

    Off-road teardrop scratch-build

When I am welding nuts to something I screw in the bolt to keep the internal threads clean of weld splatter...but then I am not that great a welder.

Safari Can is a storage container that fits in jerry can holders.

Interesting product but no site exposure. Guess they are gone.

    Alpine Loop, CO

Park the trailer in Lake City and use that as your base. Great place to eat there called the Tick Tock Cafe, close to the trail head.

British Columbia to Baja; Winter Solstice in the Desert

Great write up and photos. You certainly put away the fears of traveling with an infant and seem to have done very well with your accommodations.

First Death Valley Trip: 4 Cold, Wet, Snowy, Wonderfully Awesome Days

Good to see a LR on the trails. Thinking of the route, any issues with the LR and the roads? Doesn't look like you had to be in the happy rock mode much as the trails seem to be rather flat except for the one section.

    Plano 1919 Waterproof Storage Trunk

I buy the surplus medical storage cases from an on line company. They weigh about 30 to 45 pounds empty but you cam bash them and stack them to your hearts content and they stay dust and water free. At least 2 latches on each end and 4 on each side with a rubber seal and an atmospheric release...

A Decision on Heavy Duty Sliders and Slide-Out Drawer Options

I purchased a drawer system from Front Runner for my LR3 but after looking at all the possibilities of systems and reexamining my carpentry skills, I determined that I could have created a system for less money and still would have performed as well as the purchased item. The idea of no sliders...

    Range Rover LR322

I have an 07 LR3 HSE, it occasionally has issues but, nothing that a little money thrown at it won't solve. I have a friend with extensive knowledge of many vehicles, Land Rover included (ColoDisco) that helped me find and ultimately buy the vehicle I now have. I am learning about this vehicle...

    My M416 "build"

When I bought my M416 it had a spring over set up already done but the parking brake was not connected as the cable was not long enough. I did reposition the brake cable and it worked well. As the last post suggests that brake is very handy for securing the trailer rather than chocks. I also...

    Our camping/bug out trailer

If you put the water forward it will be a lot of weight at the hitch end and could be a bear to move/lift when the tank is full. I used mine (M416) that way once with petrol cans forward, never again. Those trailers are often registered as home made, eliminates a lot of issue with registration...

    Wiring a Pingauzer trailer

Thanks for that post. I had lost track of it when I sold the pinz. I am sure it will help someone in need.

    Wiring a Pingauzer trailer

If you can't turn the light bulb holder around SAV sells a kit to make the stock pinz tail lights to the American mode with red being stop and yellow (amber) the turn indicator. Since those incandescent lights are not all that bright, it is possible to add LED lighting which is much brighter.

    Wiring a Pingauzer trailer

It did take awhile to figure the wiring on my trailer. Going to need an ohm meter with a circuit bell for continuity to test for complete circuits. Nice thing about the 24V system on the pinz is that you can use 24V bulbs in the trailer and they will also work on the 12V for the LR, just be a...

    Good match for a Pinzgauer

Always check with these guys. http://www.swissarmyvehicles.com/vehiclelist.php?cat=6 Although the trailer is a 1 tonne and is a bit heavy for the M710 when loaded. Try for a Canadian M101 or the US M416 although the lunette on the M416 will not really work on the pinz, it is too large a...

    Tent/awning pole bag

I had an industrial machine that I inherited from my Dad, he used to sew leather for work bags. It was very old and kept breaking down, sold it. Bought a Brother machine from a sewing shop that will do most fabrics and I make my long bags and other things from heavy duty fabric that the machine...
