Had a flat today. I suspected my bottle Jack might be too tall to fit under the axle with a flat tire. I was correct. Ended up jacking on the bottom of the spring. It worked but not ideal. What are others doing? 99FG
Curious about your thoughts. A front door is really convenient but all the cold falls out when you open the door. I’ve thought that if I replaced my 3 way I’d go with a top loading compressor fridge. Did you consider it? (We have a Unique 60L in our boat).
I was trying to imagine the role of this valve in the standard common rail fuel return system? Does it only open in overpressure or does it routinely open to return fuel?
I'm not very familiar with the operation of common rail systems. Can anyone explain the role of that Pressure Control Valve in the system? Relieves pressure when engine shuts off? Bleeds off excess pressure when engine is running?
Looks like I'll be needing a new set of tires for my 1999 FG in the near future. Currently running 235/85/16 Cooper Discoverer AT3. Still have OE rims and duals. Would prefer a taller tire if possible. Anybody have any recommendations for a taller tire which would work well?
If that’s the case, pumping the primer should resolve it, or adding a separate tank with gravity feed should stop the problem. The fact that it started with the return lines blocked seems to indicate inadequate fuel flow of some kind.
from what I have read in other posts, they are positioned lightly upward and pulled down into the horizontal position for attachment so there is some slight torsion on them in the up position.
That being said, you did add weight with the plywood decking. The roof on our northstar is basically aluminum skin, styrofoam and 1/8" luan ceiling with a rim of 3"x 1/2" around the whole roof. Plus the 1" plywood sides. Very lightly built
