It’s a question I’ve asked here before without an answer. My USA 99FG is rated for 12k lbs. a year or so later they were rated at 14k lbs. Mine is classified as a light duty truck in the USA. The 14k version a medium duty truck. I wish I knew the differences.

Took the shock out. Completely failed. Just want to confirm that the part number on the shock on your seat is for an LTSS Stratos seat? Shock on mine measures 8 1/4” on center.

I now think that 255/85 16 is too wide to work on the duals. probably less than 1” between the tires.

No part number on the damper. No reply from Stratos. I contacted Seat Shop Australia. Perhaps they will respond to me.

I doubt there ever have been Fuso ambulances in the USA.

While we’re on A/C: Years ago there were a number of threads about poorly performing A/C. In the USA we got FG’s with a rubber flap in front of the condenser which is under the passengers feet. If you remove that flap or tuck it up behind the bumper so it doesn’t tilt back at higher speeds and...

Aren’t there thousands of privately owned large US trucks without DOT numbers?

I don’t know. My truck was in commercial use before I purchased it so had a DOT inspection and number. I have never done anything with it, assuming it is unnecessary in non commercial use. I may be completely mistaken. Do large farm trucks have DOT certification? I don’t recall seeing any...

My recollection is that the switch simply pushes in and pulls out.

I have one of those I used on our Wanderlodge. Seems like overkill on an FG., and I don’t have air.
