Great trip thanks for posting it. If you (or anyone else) is in the area north of Kennebunkport a nice trail/ lunch spot is the Audubon Sanctuary near Biddeford Pool. You go past the pool and through the small community of Robin's Nest to the end. It has a small trail around the peninsula and...

VERY COOL! Thanks for posting this. Lake Baikal is crazy....a mile deep and has 20% of the worlds fresh water in it supposedly. Very cool!

Great write up Rover....I love that part of the country. So cool how the spring rains make those plants come alive. In the mid 80's I was on a trip out there and somewhere in that area (the Pawnee Grasslands) the USDA has a soil test area/machine. Its is a "plug" (for lack of a better word)...
