A propex heater doesn't produce vapor in the cabin. You're thinking of catalytic heaters which aren't a great idea outside of a fish shack or wall tent.
I went back and forth on this and ended up with the propex in my tear drop and now on my ovrlnd build. I carry propane for cooking and it...
I will be building a propane locker for two 5lb tanks inside my ovrlnd camper. Should be done in a week or so if you watch my build thread. After a lot of thought, I have a couple of options; building a locker that vents through a side opening door or building a locker and drilling a 1" hole...
Yep, they are such a sponge at this age. I swear I can see him grow while he sleeps haha.
Timing really is perfect. I am also switching jobs which means burning some time off that won't transfer so I mainly get to work from home and take a bunch of time off until late April. He flushed a dove...
Added a bit more padding and insulation to the tailgate using noico closed cell foam I had left over from a prior car. (Will add pic and once I downsize it)
Haha I do quite a bit of hunting that starts in a couple of weeks (lows in the 20s) goes into the winter in CO, NM, MT and WY (lows in to...
Propex mount is built. Ran it in this location with my prior fiberglass shell and it works great. Factory bed holes line up with the intake and exhaust. Pretty convenient!
Now I am working on the next layer of wall insulation and the panels. Using 1/2" xps foam attached via double sided sticky...
Thanks! He's 9 weeks old today and doing quite well. So far he's learned sit, come, and down to a T and has only had a couple of accidents. Also been sleeping though the night the last 3 nights in a row. Finding Mr. Ghillie to be pretty awesome so far!
Got my foam in! I did a 68x39" (little extra room for squish) with 1" of a high density foam and 2" of a medium density foam. Then 2x 20x60 of the same. One section will come down below for storage or the bench and leave room for other bedding up top. Waiting on the covers.
Roof insulation is finally in other than the fan location. Tedious job measuring and cutting each piece.
Next up is installing the fan as well as the next layer of insulation (1/2" xps) bonded to 5mm ply on the lower walls.
Progress. Still need to do the majority of the ceiling which will also get thinsulate and a headliner on top of the 1" polyiso. I will be covering the lower walls with another layer of polyiso (1/2") to eliminate thermal bridges and it will be covered with either 1/8" marine plywood or...
Bedrug is mostly in but I need to finish up some velcro when it warms up next week. This is a must have with this type of camper.
Also got most of the lower between the frame insulation (1" rmax double faced polyis) in and taped (aluminum HVAC tape).
After picking mine up and playing around with it I don't think I would change a thing except maybe add the full length roof track. A bit more involved to add them after the fact but I'll figure it out.
I like having the 1 windoor and don't see a need for one on each side (for me).
Very glad I...
Got the truck back from a rerewarranty finally so now I can finally begin the bed/ovrlnd portion of the build. Managed to get the bed rug partway installed and all the drivers side bed holes sealed with butyl tape this evening. Leaving the tiny bit of holes in the bed floor to help with any...
