Your right, the 5.0 is a complex dual overhead cam engine. My vehicle at work has a 5.0 in it, cam fasers at 20k, new engine at 33, now Check engine like and engine is rattling again at 36k… I hate the 5.0.

I’ve never gotten 8 mpg, fully loaded and towing.. lowest I’ve gone is around 10. My buddy has a large camper with the 7.3 gas, he sees around 10 mpg, much better than his old v10 rig. The 7.3 does surprisingly well on fuel for what it is.

Some orders were cancelled if their allotment of those particular equipped trucks were built, if you were lower on the list, you lost your place. Some trucks shipped without certain portions, but you get a voucher to get them installed later.

Ford closed the order books for MY 2022 in march, they are retooling for the 2023 redesign and the order books for them open up in early October possibly late September. You can’t just order a vehicle whenever you want, it depends on order banks, dealer allot,ents, etc.

Your right, HD trucks simply do everything better and safer. Haul or tow a load, it will be more stable with an HD truck. HD trucks will last longer due to their heavier duty parts and you will get a better resale.
