I know us Canadians are a minority here, but our cost of fuel is significantly higher than most of the US.
If I had to go back to daily driving my truck, it would be a big deciding factor.
Right now my Transit 250 gets 22-23 l/100 and fuel is $1.399 to $1.499 a liter and it's crushing me...
I would say Maxxis as in theory they would provide a bit better traction in inclement weather you may come across when not running your dedicated winters.
All these online threads make me like my underpowered hard on fuel 3.7 F150 more and more. It's been reliable. And as it has no moon roof, turbos, cooled seats, exploding rear windows etc, there is a lot less to break.
Looked at Toyota as a replacement but a 25 (or whatever the tiny tank is)...
Having used wasp spray against wasps, I can totally see how that would mess somebody up getting a face full. That stuff is nasty. But exactly what wasps deserve.
What I've learned from this thread, is I have even less desire to go to California than I did before.
If I wanted overpriced fuel...
Ok so it's cam in block and has cam phasing.
That blog/description makes it sound great, but it also sounds like it's relying on all the modern controls and sensors every other engine is.
It's not some analog push rod engine from the 60s..
And what it doesn't have is the track record of millions...
The 6.2 is SOHC is it not?
I never looked, does the 7.3 have cam phasing?
GM made phased cam in block motors. I wouldn't really consider them "less complicated"
Man what does that weigh when it's soaking wet?
I've had enough adventures with wet wood. Especially when it's -30°C
Even with the axle lift on the trailer, I don't think I'll be able to insulate and shield the fresh tank very well. Or the grey for that matter. So if I get around to insulating...
The only emails I see from Ford are "come buy a vehicle that doesn't exist for MSRP -$0.99"
Is the tow package just the receiver and a 7 pin plug or is there a transmission cooler and other features included? Or different rear spring or shocks or anything?
If it's just the receiver then it's...
I've been told (but not read the specs) that a Propex is more efficient with electricity use as well as propane use. It is the power consumption that is our greatest limiting factor.
I just built a double cab custom trail boss with 6.2 and ten speed the way i'd like it and it's $50,650.
Ford is really getting out to lunch with their pricing, when GM and Toyota have the same or cheaper pricing than the equivalently specced vehicle.
I've heard they are decent for what they are, but didn't know what that was compared to other engines.
Like, if the 5.3 was getting 18 MPG and the 6.2 was getting 16.5 sorta thing.
My friend had a 6.2 Tahoe, and now a 3.5 F150. He had/has terrible fuel economy in both because he stomps on it all...
The customer service I've received and associates have received from the Master Group has been fantastic.
If they sold something other than Johnson Controls product I'd have switched to them years ago.
Most people don't need more than the 3.3 to haul the lawn mower or the family, let's be honest.
If in a couple years quality control becomes a thing again, and XLTs aren't 55k CAD or more, it's between the 3.3 and 2.7 for me with the big old fuel tank.
I was disappointed the F150 hybrid wasn't...
Not yet, but as the stock batteries age, yes. Have to check our controller to see if it works with lithium tho
Surprised I haven't bumped into you around MB or Northwest Ontario yet.
Since I stopped working six days a week and have been part time, I don't have any money, so just been focusing...
