    Jose's Simple 2019 F150 Build

I was going to order those seat covers, but after seeing how bad they fit I’ll pass.

Why I Bought a Ford F250 Tremor for a Four Wheel Campers Hawk UTE

It will go better than you think, I got stuck in some soupy mud in 2wd, pulled the knob to engage the locker and drove out, never had to use 4 wheel drive that day.

Why I Bought a Ford F250 Tremor for a Four Wheel Campers Hawk UTE

Your front axle is a Dana 60 with an open carrier, ford only options the limited slip front on the tremor and open carrier on others.

Why I Bought a Ford F250 Tremor for a Four Wheel Campers Hawk UTE

You can’t get a front limited slip on a non tremor truck. You can get a rear locker and 4:30 gears, if you get an fx4 package you’ll be close because of skid plates… minus the side steps, lift, 35 inch tires, off road drive modes and extended breather tubes.

You can manually select gets by the plus and minus buttons on the gear shifter.

I agree, the 7.3 and 10 speed is tuned together perfectly, it’s always in the perfect gear with plenty of power. A good reason to choose the 7.3 over the 6.2 besides the 10 speed is a single overhead cam with forged internals, 8 spark plugs vs 16 and allot less electronics (No cam phasers).

I’d look hard at the 7.3, more power down lower in the rpm range and allot less complicated of an engine. Consider 4:30 gears and a rear locker when you get your truck.

Why I Bought a Ford F250 Tremor for a Four Wheel Campers Hawk UTE

I went with the XLT also because I don’t need all the extra options, sad ford stopped offering the tremor package as an option in XLT trucks now. You said you wanted a shorter wheelbase so you went with the XLT, am I reading this wrong, how is the XLT shorter? It’s just a package.

Why I Bought a Ford F250 Tremor for a Four Wheel Campers Hawk UTE

The lighting issue in these trucks is a terrible idea, on ram trucks you can get led lighting as a stand alone safety package on all models for a reasonable price. On super duty’s you have to pick top trims then some more options to get the led lights. The halogen lights on these trucks are...

Small wildcat rounds, anyone shoot them?

Target and just playing around, I really enjoy shooting the 17 hmr, no recoil and very accurate. My friend uses his for squirrel hunting, but I don’t as it often ruins allot of meat, unless you aim for the head.

Small wildcat rounds, anyone shoot them?

This doesn’t count but I have a savage 17 hmr with a Leupold 3x9, I really enjoy shooting that rifle or any .17 cartridges.

That gear knob is weird, I’m not sure if I liked it or not, sometimes I didn’t mind it, others I hated it and I don’t really know why. Complaining about bed height… don’t try to reach in the bed of a super duty, it’s allot higher. My 16 ram with a 3 inch carli suspension and 37x13.50 Toyo’s...

winter tires when I live where it snows a lot but also plan to go to the desert?

I’ve had the falken wild peak at3, they are a great tire. I have a set of toyo at3’s on my work vehicle, they are equally great and do excellent in snow but are a tad louder. I have heard excellent things about the Toyo ct, but haven’t tried them, yet. I hear they are excellent in snow.

The 5th (ish) Gen Ram HD love/hate thread

The 5th gen interior takes up more space in the old cab vs the 5th gen cab on the 1500’s, there is less leg room, I had a 12, 14, 16 and a 19 ram. As for the door leaks, my work truck which is an f150 had the same issue, the dealer per ford drilled a hole in the bottom of the door and replaced a...

The 5th (ish) Gen Ram HD love/hate thread

I had a 19 power wagon and sold it, it was a good solid truck but I couldn’t stand the MDS or the small back seat, the new interior(5th gen interior) takes up allot of space in the old cab. The fuel economy was also a problem, I bought a 2021 f250 tremor with 4:30 gears, 35 inch tires and a 7.3...

your truck is not commonly referred to as a 5th gen like the 1500’s, it’s called a 4.5 gen becuase it uses the same old cab unlike the 1500 that now uses a new cab. As for the water in your door, that’s not common, that’s a problem, something is wrong take it to the dealer. The reason the 6.4...
