Quality control is a huge issue with the big three, not just ram. My 19 ram had better fit and finish than my 2021 super duty. I have found pieces of metal painted over in the roof of my truck, like a big bubble, never had that with any ram, espically my 19 ram.

Good point, btw a de-rated 7.3 gas is in the new blue bird school busses in either gas or propane. My buddies new motor home has a 7.3 gas.

They last longer? They used to, but the new gassers are much more reliable and make decent power, mpg hand calculated are not much better than a gasser now. If you don’t need the extra torque, save the 8 to 10 grand added cost of a diesel. my opinion, go with an f550 with the 7.3, last longer...

What’s wrong with the DEF system on the ram/cummins truck? Never heard of any issues since the early trucks. Would you prefer a cab off to repair an engine or an engine compartment clogged with wires, hoses, etc?

I agree, the aluminum body was a game changer for me. However I have a friend that owns a body shop, he said he has seen allot of corrosion in early aluminum trucks that have allot of salt exposure and not cleaned well, but no holes or rot like steel.

My stock ford has markings on bolts and with every aftermarket suspension I’ve never not seen that done, hate to burst your bubble, nothing special or unique there.

I have had a ton of problems with my 17 f150 police responder with the 5.0, its been a flat out terrible truck, engine, trans problems followed by tons of recalls. I have several friends with f150’s with the 3.5 and have had no issues other than allot of recalls.
