switching from a 4runner to a full size?

Or like Wally said skip the halfer. I'd lean towards a gasser 250 though and not a 350 unless for sure you are going to have a heavy camper on the back all the time.

switching from a 4runner to a full size?

How many passengers, both in people or dogs? You said 3 bikes, so that's what I'm not sure of. I don't know much about sleds, could you fit one in a 6.5' box with tailgate down? I'd lean towards an extended/Supercab truck. Smaller cab but still rear sits an adult can sit in for short trips...

    F150 - 2.7L vs 3.5L vs 5.0L

Use forscan to disable start stop or just press the button on the dash everytime you use the truck In my wife's WK2 the first thing I do when I start it is press disable start stop

    F150 - 2.7L vs 3.5L vs 5.0L

Those Cherokees were super problematic in the first few years especially in regards to the 9 speed and the PTU for the rear axle. Don't know if they ironed it out or not.

How did Voyagers/HBC Outfitters do it?

I guess I'm a soy boy. 2008 or so, my "-1°C" Woods sleeping bag and a thin flannel sheet on a 3/8" foam mat and I slept under a tarp in mild November weather, call it -10°C overnight. Was a bit cold but slept. Flash forward to a couple weekends ago, in a surveyor tent with a wood stove...

    2021 F150 vs F250

Isn't the first gear super low on the 10RXXX the SD uses, as it's based off the 10R80? For off road or from a start it would mitigate the taller final ratio. And isn't this the point of having ten gears in a transmission now? To be able to keep the truck in power band at different speeds...

    2021 F150 vs F250

That fuel economy makes me cringe, until I remember how heavy and brick like that truck is. Could probably squeak a bit better if it had the 3.73. Let's go back to the year 2000 and tell people a gasser 3/4 ton can tow and haul those numbers and push 15 mpg highway in 2021 and get laughed at in...

    New Bronco

Yeesh, I use the block heaters months of the year here. Anytime it's colder than -20°C.

The full sized mid-size, my 2014 F150 "Fiddy"

Pretty sure I gained 4" of wheel travel minimum by putting this baby on. Too bad the OEM grille broke apart during the swap, but not really a surprise after 7 years.

    2021 Titan XD Pro-4X

I think below 5MB. But I have the same issue that few of my phone pictures will load and not exceed file size As I'm lazy and the stock camera app on my phone doesn't have a compression option, I just screen shot the picture and load it that way.

    Non LT Tyres(Tires)

Really depends how heavy the vehicle is I'd say. I run LT because the sizes I want come in LT ratings, and I want a beefier sidewall. I've had zero flats in my F150 on LT235/80R17 and LT34x10.5R17 KO2s, but had two flats on my 235/65R16C Euro metric "commercial" capacity tires on my Transit, so...

The full sized mid-size, my 2014 F150 "Fiddy"

Got some nice walking this weekend. No birds as the snow kept coming. Got out at 01:30 thankfully buddies had been out since Thurs evening.

The full sized mid-size, my 2014 F150 "Fiddy"

On the fence. Closest thing I could compare it to is my wife's 2014 Elantra GT and the 2018 Rogue we rented last trip, and I'd say I only had a week of wheel time in either of those. The Rav isn't as quiet on the highway as I expected, and it didn't seem to have any more power than either...

The full sized mid-size, my 2014 F150 "Fiddy"

Well, just about to fly back to Loserpeg from Halifax. Going to take the Fiddy out and meet up with buddies camping and get a few more chicken hunts in this weekend. Had a RAV4 LE AWD as a rental for the week we were in NS. 7l/100 average but mostly highway. I miss the fiddy, but not it's fuel...

    Camper Trailer Recommendations

Fair,. But when people from another country and thousands of miles away want to see more pictures and get more information, it's less than ideal. The last time I checked the website was quite a while ago, but it was mostly the same few trailers. I think there were maybe 3 videos on their YouTube...

    Camper Trailer Recommendations

Let's see some pictures when you get that! t seemed like so few of them were being built and the company Facebook page spent more time selling generators then posting about the trailers.

Doesn't sound like anyone has built a problem free truck in last half dozen years. Depressing.

    Camper Trailer Recommendations

No. It was on our short list, but they are/were new with few examples out there, and didn't have a bathroom. We had talked with the owner briefly earlier on about having a tip out bed or something. We ended up with an Escape 19. There isn't tons of trailers with the amenities and size we want...

How did Voyagers/HBC Outfitters do it?

Our trailer does have a furnace. We were on a non power site and didn't think we would need it, as we've slept in colder weather in the tent trailer we used to have without the furnace. We turned furnace on for ten minutes before bed the next night. My point is that at 13-14° "indoors" and 10°...
