    2021 F150 Tremor Thoughts?

That's what I want! But I'll take care of it, not abuse. Want it for a long time.

Amazing First Overland Trip In The Books

Congratulations! I'd never have guessed it would be that far below freezing that far south. The heavy wind can certainly prevent a good night's sleep. Your write up was Excellent.

    Looking For a New 1/2Ton

I've built work trucks ie XLT 300a because around here an XL with options costs MORE And an HDPP max tow F150 with tow mirrors was only a few thousand cheaper than a bare bones F250 XLT. It was all the nickle and dimes like tow mirrors (at the time brake control was extra) and the HD packages...

    2021 F150 Tremor Thoughts?

I didn't even think to ask if the Tremor will only realistically be available on 302a and higher built trucks. Wouldn't surprise me if they are forcing a crew cab on you. The upfitter switches would be rad, was always curious why only offered those on super duty. Oh well. My next F150 is likely...

    Overland Cargo Trailer - Questions

Lightning trailers has options list, like dozens of options, extra height, lights, etc. Might check and see what they offer. Also I feel Colorado Trailers or something like that offers cargo trailers with small lifts and AT tires. Never seen one in person to speak to quality.

    Ford Tremor

Around here most guys are struggling with half tons because the interest rate is cheaper and it's cheaper all around. I see plenty with scaffolding loaded up past the roof or roof racks with 12 sheets of OSB and a bed heaping with tools etc When I leased my F150 interest rate on it was .49% My...

    Looking for a D Load 33 Inch x 18 A/T Tire...

My 34x10.5R17 KO2 measure waaaaaay small, and load D. Same diameter as a 255/80R17 KM2, which is a 33. Can you fit 17s on the truck? If there is a helpful tire shop nearby also just check some tires that interest you, as listed diameter and what they are in real life varies a LOT. Maybe there is...

    Minimalist Overlander: 2016 Ford Expedition

Pics when you do. In Canada it doesn't list locker only LSD as feature of FX4, and you can't get certain options or packages with FX4 which is disappointing. Can you also take pics of the OEM skid plates when you get your list and tires? Also, mid 50s? I need to move south for more than the...

    Minimalist Overlander: 2016 Ford Expedition

I rented that body style of Expedition when driving the Cabot trail in Nova Scotia. Comfortable drive and tons of power with the EcoBoost. Even with a cargo bag on the roof and driving 120 kph got better fuel economy than my 12th gen F150 with 3.7.

    Ford Tremor

That would make sense. Too bad, the powerboost might make sense as a fleet vehicle for us, but not if it's a crew cab Short box.

    2021 F150 Tremor Thoughts?

Are they only offering it on crew cabs like on the super duty?

The full sized mid-size, my 2014 F150 "Fiddy"

That's typical summer daytime highs around here. Wouldn't normally see that until June.

The full sized mid-size, my 2014 F150 "Fiddy"

Had some good tasting Glendalough double barrel Irish whiskey this weekend. I think was as cold as -8°C over night Saturday night, Friday night was a few degrees warmer. And Saturday during the day was beautiful and warm. Went on a short hike. Sat by the fire and shot the breeze. Was reasonably...

Keep 2010 Ram 2500 or buy Jeep Gladiator?

I'd keep the Ram. Low miles. Lots of space and power. But it depends on all the other things you use your truck for other than off road. You got big axles, solid frame, gobs of power etc. The cons are it's big and heavy. A d while mid size rigs aren't nearly as heavy, they sure aren't light...

    Ford Tremor

I too am less than pleased about forcing a crew cab for the option. At first I didn't think Tremor was even an option in Canada because it didn't list it, but I was building super cabs on the Build and Price feature. Seems to be something similar for the power boost in the F150, only available...

    Quarantine Project: F-150 Camper Build

I've seen a guy paint 2x4s black and use as a spacer. Not pretty, and I don't recall how he attached things. 1.5" probably not enough of a raise to make a difference in this case

Stay 4runner or go back to Jeep...

As much as I laugh at a 260k MILE Toyota that's 17 years old being "mid life" I would agree with others to stick with it. Just don't go crazy with 35s and all that entails to run that tire. Stick to something minor for upgrades to keep costs down. The wave of overpriced used vehicles will end...

One of the Coolest Small, Off-road Capable Camping Trailers I've Seen

An Escape 19. I wanted the 17a but was overruled. $40k CAD optioned the way we want. 15'8 or something interior length. Many meters less of caulking to go over twice a year. Fiberglass units hold value and last a long time. We couldn't afford anything like a VMI live in unit or some of the other...

One of the Coolest Small, Off-road Capable Camping Trailers I've Seen

You haven't had a water leak you didn't catch in time then. Subpar materials all around, a thin bead of caulk being the only thing keeping water out. Reinforcing and repairing the cabinets and framing is one thing, but once the roof or floor have sucked in some water it's like a terminal...

Thoughts on this trailer power system.

Since it's too late for me to cancel the inverter, I can wire an interrupt switch before it to turn it off entirely and remove the ghost load? Or do I just have to remove it and put something better in later? We've gone this far without needing an inverter and I'm hopeful another decade or three...
