That water closet just strikes me as a big stone anchor. A lot of mechanicals including batteries all the way in the back, maybe fresh water also. I like the dual stovetop, but would the Truma Combi not work and have less complicated systems?
No pass-through on this one. Like to see underneath...
The large price jump is something I spoke to Arnold about. I've posted in the HBE thread where I asked hime if a 9 foot HBE could be offered. It will be interesting to see what HowardH thinks of his Base Camp.
Would be interesting to see TC, Bear, etc. with an 8ft flatbed model with full interior comparable to AterraXL / OEV Hudson Bay hardwall including an indoor shower.
Well OEV is doing the hard wall version of the HBE, see how that compares. Definitely need more user reports on the AterraXL. I'm interested to see how you do in cold weather.

How many Aterra XL’s have you sold so far?
Mario Donovan: We were expecting to sell 10 Aterra campers within the first year of product...
I believe the 20-gallon option is meant for tow trucks, to downsize from the 40-gallon, not to increase to 60 gallons total. Ordering is clear as mud sometimes.
Looks like a nice shakedown cruise. Max weight on your platform is 11,500 lbs.? Max payload @4100 lbs.? Did you have a chance to weigh the truck before the installation?
Moving the CG forward is helpful but I also look at recovering some of the storage under the dinette seats. The AterraXL is way ahead on internal storage. Going with a chest fridge opens up the current space for some slide out drawers.
