2021 Overland Explorer Vehicles (OEV) CAMP-HBE pop-up flatbed pickup camper (renamed the "Hudson Bay" for 2023 model year)

Thanks for posting the photo, knew I had seen it somewhere. I wish they would take reimagine that cabinet and move the water tank forward. Sort of CAMP X like, propane, water and battery all forward. HW price will be above the AterraXL price.

Ford specific is also the FORScan software. I use it on my smartphone and tablet for diagnostics. Extended License Windows version I believe can reprogram? https://www.forscan.org/comparsion.html https://www.forscan.org/download.html Pair it with the OBD MX+ WiFi version...

And no more 6.2 / 6 speed for 2023. See how the new 6.8 / 10 speed does as a slimmed down 7.3 / 10 speed? Could drive demand for used 6.2 / 6 speeds as it sunsets.

I believe it was BVO / Off Grid Engineering that did the dimmable color change LED strips? Even changed the switches at the entry possibly? It's all a mish mash. Was it the FX that had the lower drawer that was a step also?

You can see the black cabling for the solar entering just above the stove and going rearward. He did not lift the driver side dinette seat, I suspect besides the Truma and the water tank that the Victron components are still there. Moving the inverter forward, I don't know, it knocked out that...

Sometimes it is better to pay attention to your own posts, completely missed the vertical strip of switches, thanks. So the 110 is still in its original spot, plus the CO2 detector and a USB plug. To the right of the 110, circuit breakers?

SW vs HW. Just adding panel dimension, get rid of the electric lifting system, the SW tent material, easier production, but costs more. The BASE CAMP has to be installed at the factory. I don't believe a pass through will be an option on the HBE from the factory.

One thing the AterraXL shined at was internal storage, just far more than the HBE. I would take the underbid storage option.

Agree, moving the water forward would be an advantage, couple hundred pounds forward of the axle, not aft. Need to get info on that shower pan. Moving to all Victron for all builds, interesting, However the move to the forward cabinets seems to have wiped out the three drawers, including the...

When I spoke to him back in the spring I got the sense that it came down to engineering resources, the needed CAD work, and production. The jump in 2022 price from HBE to BASE CAMP SW was sizable. I'm curious to see what a hardwall HBE entails.

I'm curious with the bolts and plates inside the camper for the door grab handle and the back storage rack what will happen in cold and damp.

With the full install now of the HPI flatbed and the boxes, what do you estimate is the total weight on those components alone? Still about 900 lbs.?

2021 Overland Explorer Vehicles (OEV) CAMP-HBE pop-up flatbed pickup camper (renamed the "Hudson Bay" for 2023 model year)

2023 Changes Quite a few changes, electric, heater, lav, batteries, storage, switches, shower pan, shower pan drain location.... Shower pan was lowered in 2022? On reason it could not go lower was cabling that ran on the backside of the 6.75 HBE to the batteries. I asked about moving the the...
