Forget the truck Ed (well it is cool though)...
But Great to see you around here...
I have not seen a post from you in a long time and I am glad to have you back sir!
I drive alot of washboard with heavy rigs....that is a perfect setup for causing shock fade and thus I have often prefered shocks with reserviors. I know Fox also has some sort of cooling fin setup with could get rid of enough heat to reduce fade.
I would say you should get the basic OME setup...
looks like a couple of cool places....
I have explored a few areas out there but never there so thanks for the heads up on somewhere else to check out....when the summer is past of course :)
Maybe I missed it but you mentioned Diehard Platinums but not what size they were...
There is a big range of Amp Hours depending on the size of your battery.
For example I used a Diehard Plat group 31 which states 100 Ahr with a Kyocera 120w panel to run a ARB 60L low profile fridge for 4 days...
Holy Bring a Thread Back , Batman :)
Cool to see something like this brought back for a rehash.
As the proud owner of a 70 Burb with a GVW finally higher than what I actually put into it I would agree that they are great rigs for keeping it all inside for a family of 4
Great so it is the same setup we saw...very nice that you can design something to work for pretty much any country.
Just curious if SMB was getting into the body molding biz since they have so much space, or if you were still popping out all that cool stuff in your shop.
Would have been great...
So are you guys making the bodies in Oz and shipping them over to SMB or is SMB making the bodies?
Just curious about the cool modular construction you guys have going.
Thanks for the pic of my blue burb....and that is Nick-Nobin with the orange rig...and Larry has the popup Phx on a blue truck you can just see the top of in the background and Colorado Bill has the white Dodge there....
we had a great camp full of fun people...
Agree the one way into/out of...
I really like my GCI Xpress lounger since it folds small, has real arms and is very well built...if you go for amazon they are under $40
http://www.amazon.com/GCI-Outdoor-Xpress-Lounger-Directors/dp/B0042WVAHO
REI even has some on sale under $30...
Oh that is pure coolness now...those wheels & tires & the lift they give is killer
You really had a vision of how this would turn out, I couldnt imagine it but very glad you could
Looking forward to an inperson sighting at the Overland Expo this weekend
Very nice that you got to take an extended outing in such a great area....you really covered some iconic ground there.
Like others have said your simple setup looks like it works very well, would love more pics of the inside and your camp setup
Not sure what model fridge you have but I have own an Engel, National Luna and currently an ARB...
In all cases they had a 120vAC cord that could be used and would pull power from that if it was plugged even if the 12vDC was also plugged in.
I often times will power up my fridge the night...
Woah...
look at that 4dr wagon with the barn doors in the brochure...yeah you mentioned it but until I saw the pic I didn't realize how cool that is.
Turbo diesel in that body style and all factory...super super cool.
I love my 70 Suburban but finding something like that could make me seriously...
Almost 300 pages each....
that is at least worth 2 of any 4wd mag in the USA and these have all kinds of great stuff to enjoy
Bumping for some mid week happiness
I will take that GCI Chair off your hands for sure...
Look for the ol'blue 70 suburban with the white roof (new paint on my old girl)
Thanks for the offer of OX meet up
Great looking van..
Make sure to post in the regular for sale section..
and there is a mag called Disabled Dealer or something like that if you want it in print.
And lastly folks do national craigslist searchs so make sure to post there also
Thanks for the payment sir...
I will pack them up and get them out USPS in the am...
I still have a copy or 2 of each of these in case anyone else wants to fill out their collection. Make great gifts for someone new to the hobby.
enjoy
Lance
More than likely what you will be able to get is one of the fridges that a vendor is showing for the event....this is great as you can get a better price maybe...but not good if you want to leave the event early.
Personally I would go to the Overland Expo website, look at the vendor list, see...
