    Favorite Multi-tool

I EDC a Skeletool CX. Non serrated blade, pliers, bottle opener, screw driver. Small and light enough for EDC and hiking/backpacking. For work I have a Rebar on the belt and a Klien 11+1 folding screw/nut driver. Handy for when you go up on the roof to check a package HVAC unit or in the...

2020 Black Series HQ 17 Review Part 2

Mainstream US as in anything Thor or Forest River make are worse than "Chinese made"

Raptors have too much fancy electronic **************** for my tastes. Though the Gen1 aren't so bad. That WOULD pretty well check all the boxes right out of the gate. I couldn't begin to afford a current one. I don't think a single Raptor on the lot was less than 88k and had power everything and...

    2016 Chevy Silverado LTZ Z71

What r ported intake and custom tune good for HP/TQ wise on the 5.3? I'd personally not look at taller blocks. Taller the block the worse the axle wrap. On the 14+ GMs I don't know how tall your stock block is mind you. If you are going from 1" to 2" not a big deal.

Being that you are looking used, it's going to be harder to find exactly the combo of things you want. A 9.75 gear set is heavier duty, but if you aren't going to run 35s fully locked and drive sane, an 8.8 will be fine. Decent support for both, but more options for the 9.75.

The true Trac or Torsen I think is a good idea for daily drivability. It's still a traction boost over open differential. I'd prefer an electronic locker so I can be open or fill locked when I want, but $$$ and then running cables and switches and fuses vs a pure mechanical part like the True...

The full sized mid-size, my 2014 F150 "Fiddy"

Todd: Prefer new. Mostly because I have a specific set of options and colours I want that isn't common. Plus, I know people don't take care of their HVAC equipment, just like they don't take care of their vehicles. KWjohnston: Yes, the sleeping bag needs an upgrade. That's my backpacking summer...

The full sized mid-size, my 2014 F150 "Fiddy"

Bids went as high as $16700 wholesale at ADESA in December, so realistically in spring, depending on the market I might be able to private sell for $18000. Any 5.0 or EcoBoost 12th gens with 100-130km are $20k if XLTs. Or more if on a dealer lot. New truck is going to be 35k + tax plus I need...

2021 F150 Spy shots. Is Ford going back to '09-'14?

The headlights look like all the aftermarket headlights for 09-14s do, to me anyway. Big led DRL bar around outside edge. I'm more excited to hear about the hybrid powertrain. Hopefully similar to the Explorer. The electric power train picks up the low end slack from the NA V6 and sorta kinda...

Ok The truck is at a point where it could use some maintenance. 5.5 years old now, just rolled 100,000km (60k miles) Remember this was a fleet truck and it hauled and towed pretty well every day of its life until Aug 2018, and it's been off roading and towing since then. (Much of it in -20C to...

I really like that last north American gen of Vitara. That and the SX4 were good compact vehicles.

Problem is those side racks have a low weight rating. Might not be a big deal for your plans, but for me, it was a big cost when ordering new, and didn't fit or support the weight of what I wanted to put there Now if you come across it used for the right price? Another story. When I was...

F150 with the Heavy Duty Payload Package?

I enjoy how the expected "buy a 3/4 ton rather than HDPP halfer" became an "EcoBoost is superior" thread. I haven't seen the OP in pages of responses lol

    2023 Ford Raptor- Continuation

My truck is never without hundreds of pounds of stuff in the back, and I've had add a leaf since 2016 can't remember what it's like without them. Ice with a bit of powder on top. My favorite :/ Good thing you had chains, doesn't matter what tire you have otherwise. We play sponge hockey, which...

    2023 Ford Raptor- Continuation

Depends on what springs were specced. The one red truck is squating with the quad in the back, though it's not bad. My truck has the lightest springs and would sag with 600# in the back, hence having an add a leaf, and now requiring new leaf packs. Remember to that a spring that is often loaded...

Black Series HQ - Any Reviews?

It's less for crapping and more for the dear wives to get up to pee in the middle of the night and not have to leave the trailer. Anyone I know with a TT with a bathroom has a no #2 rule lol
