    2016 Chevy Silverado LTZ Z71

I don't know the Chevys very well, but I personally wouldn't be running those mods without a tune to compensate. You could very well be running lean and the PCM can't figure out what to do. Bilstein 5160 remote reservoir shocks are cheap, but they don't hold up the best to salty winter weather...

    badm0t0rfinger's 2014 Raptor build

Sorry to hear you are stuck in limbo man. Our trip to Florida in a week just got cancelled, and we are out a bunch of $ now. And if you think your truck is a mess and you have been living out of it a while, just feel good knowing I routinely see trucks 10x worse in my trade, and even for people...

Does the Raptor use the same EPAS steering system the other trucks do?

    Real world MPG/experiences

14 US MPG in the city on my 2014 3.7 F150 on 34x10.5R17 with a topper and small lift. Windy and hilly towing a 2500# pop up camper with mountain bikes on the roof rack of camper and 800# in the truck was about 13 US MPG. Best fuel economy to date is tied at just under 19 MPG, oddly enough both...

Something like a swing case/saddle box NO DRILLING

I had to look up rivnuts. If I get steel rivnuts, drill the holes, clean and dry then paint them, then install rivnuts it should be ok.

Something like a swing case/saddle box NO DRILLING

I was all excited about the Swing case tool boxes as the video I watched was for 2015+ F150 and they installed without drilling. It appears for 09-14 trucks they require drilling into the bed. Is there any saddle style tool boxes that install without drilling holes? There are enough rust...

The full sized mid-size, my 2014 F150 "Fiddy"

It usually is. This last trip was a bit unpleasant as I was under equipped. If you ever get the chance, give it a try.

The full sized mid-size, my 2014 F150 "Fiddy"

Hmmmm. 4.56 would be steep to use on highway, which are where 90% of the miles come from the last couple years and the next couple. Right now I am effectively at 3.45-3.50 roughly, which is nice on highway for fuel economy. I have the 6R80 without select shift, and the 3.7 is a screamer, so I've...

Alright. Quote for trans cooler and plumbing, fluid replacement for front/rear differential and transfer case, and coolant flush and replace I've been quoted $900 CAD including labour. (Americans, yes, the parts are only x $, everything is at least 35% more here) I've been ball parked at $2400...

Why are other full size SUV's not used in overlanding/offroading as often as Forerunner/Landcruiser?

As far as GM is concerned, tiny wheel wells and torsion bar IFS didn't do the platforms any favours. Don't remember what year full size trucks went to coil SLA front, but the 07-13 trucks also had tiny square wheel wells Hard to fit larger tires without trimming or cross member drop lifts...

What do you mean by bedside panels? Google is showing me a mix of replacement body panels and some sort of racking bolted to inside of bed so u can attach stuff to it

Not in that generation. Good news is seat covers are a few hundred bucks. I have Fia ones that fit decent and have held up to work duty.

Looking for a Heavy Duty Ice Chest? Good Deal on One at Costco Right Now

Any knock off Yeti for less than half price is a deal to me. I'm running two 50 quart "Woods" rotomold coolers. Got both for around $129 if I recall.

    Ram 1500 build help

I'd personally go ICON and new UCAs, I'd wager the OEM UCAs aren't going to handle much more. A 4" lift is a cut/drop cross member lift. Why bother when you can fit 35s on a 2" proper strut lift? Your cross member will still be the same lowest point on the truck after a 4" lift. What size...

I don't know how things are rust wise where you are, but I got rid of my 2002 Grand Cherokee because of rust. Being unibody, the body structure is important. I'll have to re read the thread, but what was primary goal of the truck again? 1996 is first gen Grand Cherokee. They are quite small by...

Help me narrow it down: retail trailer edition

I've convinced my wife to go visit the Escape factory in BC this April. I guess we will see where this goes. Could be a future of buying half beat pop ups and using them till they rot apart. It has worked so far.

    what gas engine? 2020 F350: 6.2 Gas or 7.3 L Gas?

$2250 Canadian is the upgrade cost MSRP locally for the 7.3 Since i'd only personally consider a supercab 6.75' bed, and im cheap, id giv'r on a 6.2 and 4.30. But in any case, 10k needed for a diesel buys a lot of gas, and I drove a lot of 90s GM vehicles with push rod engines that went over...
