I have mixed feelings on it, I feel that a AEV listened to their customers on this. I have read murmurous requests that the ram AEV bumper offer more grill protection. None the less this looks like a promising truck for overlanders.
I ran 4 years on my 01 ram 2500 with the front and rear sway bars removed... the 01 came with a rear bar. I never had any issues, I even ran a ******** Cepek long arm kit towards the end of the time I had the truck.
You won’t go wrong with ram trucks, I’ve owned 7 of them never a major issue. My advice would be get a power wagon if you don’t tow and haul much. If your planning on towing, hauling and want a diesel get a 3500 for the extra payload.
