This has been standard operating procedure for Sinyard and Company for many years and this story will be yet another reason I don't purchase their products. Protection of copyrights and trade names is one thing - frivolous litigation is quite another. I hope justice prevails.

Do you think the Deuter pack is large enough for 3 day backpacking trips? I still use my Gregory Baltadore 70 that I bought from you years ago and am looking for something similar for my Dad. He does 3 day trips across the Canyon with the grandkids and something like this would be...
Double checked my wiring this morning and all appears to be in order. My controller/solenoid wiring is tougher to decipher but I assume all is in order because I didn't touch any of that during the install. I have two wires that are different colors than Mark's diagram but again, I assume...
Unfortunately, no, I didn't get any shots of that. There was also a truck (I think in the Toyota booth) with a RTT and a snowplow - an essential piece of kit for every over lander.

I recently installed a Warn M8000 winch on my truck. I remote-mounted my control box and built my own cables. I took notes when I disassembled it but now when I try to spool the winch in, my engine dies immediately. I'm thinking I screwed something up in the wiring - specifically the location...
I'm still scratching my head on the front end on this one:
A friend of a friend has been working on this Buick Wildcat reproduction for many years and it's neat to see it complete.
And one for the Cornbinder fans.

Early morning visits to the show are best for catching good shots without being surrounded by hordes of show attendees. Here's Jonathan Ward's latest creation:
And inside in the Optima booth is one of his "Derelict" cars - this one a Lincoln:
On the other side of the taste spectrum, I...
My SEMA trip was a whirlwind one-day affair this year - I've never tried to do it in such a short time before and it's not recommended.
Scott's write-up on the homepage a few days ago whetted my appetite for the newest AEV offering so I made sure to swing by and check it out. As is usually the...
I will try and post some tonight when I get home. I didn't see Scott there today but I did spot Overland International overlords Chris, Christophe, Ray, and Bruce walking the aisles.

Like Lance, I'm happy to see AEV branching out to other markets besides the JK. I hope the Ram market proves to be as fruitful for them as the JK market. I don't know the demographics of Ram owners well enough to know whether there's a rabid following like the JK community that will invest in...
The satellites were assembled at the South Price Road facility (old Motorola Strategic Electronics Division building). Some of my closest friends did most of the assembly. Lots of funny stories from those days. Although Iridium was a flop from a general consumer market standpoint, it was...
Looking good, Lance! Man you're going to love that trans for cruising on the highway - AND the low first gear for off road work. I assume you're already past this part of the install but if you need a pressure gauge to check the pressures in various gears, let me know - I have one you're...
This interesting event was announced a few weeks ago:

As close to Dakar as you'll get in this part of the world. Overland Journal did a feature on this area last year. Scott Whitney, one of the organizers, has done a great job putting together our route books for the...
No, you're not the only one. I think anyone that uses them for any length of time quickly learns that they need some extra help in getting them tight enough. After my first trip, I whipped up a tool that I carry in the door pocket of my truck to release the dogbone. A pair of Channelocks...
