Thanks for all the kind words. Discovering that story, finding the Bronco, and writing the article ranks up there as one of the great experiences in my life.

I have done some occasional disaster relief work through a faith-based organization over the years - most recently working on property cleanup and home rebuilding in Yarnell, AZ, after their devastating fire there a year ago. They're more focused on long-term cleanup/rebuilding rather than...
The first ~20 miles out of Prescott is on pavement and then it's dirt the rest of the way to I-40. The road is smooth and wide for the entire route. There are straight sections where I'd imagine you could travel 60-70 mph on a moto and I'm guessing you could easily average 40-45 mph if not...
There are certainly sections of the route that will be quite toasty, although I've done it several times in a 4 wheeled vehicle, without air conditioning, in August. The heat will turn up a notch west of the Colorado River.
As a Prescott kid, I'll give you the first recommendation of heading...

I enjoyed watching this segment tonight. At the end, it was mentioned that the Landcruiser was driven around on the continent a bit - obviously so it could be said that it was on all seven continents. One comment befuddled me - it said it was driven near the South Pole. Was it flown down to...
Looking good! Reminds me a lot of my buddy's EB trailer build with a modified Flippac on it. He used a pickup bed and has almost identical dimensions as yours and the colors appear to be almost identical as well.

After reading about this unit several months ago and reading some good reviews, I decided to purchase one for myself. It'll be a handy accessory to have in the daily driver and also on longer trips in the Bronco - a little piece of mind for times when I can't push start the truck now that it...
Sounds like money well spent with as many times as they've had to be changed. I'm surprised that AAM's joints are smaller than a Dana 44's. I figured Dynatrac would have replacements.

How long with the ball joints continue to be covered under warranty?
I'm curious if there are some better quality ball joints available for the AAM axle once it's no longer covered by factory care.
