    Grease

For oil and greas questions I usually go to bob is the oil guy forums. For my wheel bearings I only use redline cv2, I like the 500 degree flash point, it’s a very very good wheel bearing grease. In my boat trailer I use Lucas marine wheel bearing grease. On my grease zerts, my tractor and...

    35" or 37" tires on a DD F350 or Ram 3500

I guess it really depends on what you do with your truck and where you take it. Here in Illinois I like the larger wider tire for the clay mud and rutted up farm roads/seasonal roads that I take often, espically durning hunting season. My truck is sitting in my garage right now covered in mud...

    35" or 37" tires on a DD F350 or Ram 3500

These new trucks are much bigger, heavier, have a ton more power and larger wheel wells than previous trucks, not to mention stronger axles and drivetrain, they can handle large tires without a ton of adverse effects like older trucks. I remember growing up, people put 31’s or 33’s on their...

AEV salta rims and free spin hubs

Looks like this weekend I’ll get the spare tire done as a test. Anyone know what router bit would be good for aluminum.

AEV salta rims and free spin hubs

That’s my thought also, accept I can’t find my router, I’m sure someone borrowed it and I forgot. Either I’ll pick up a cheap harbor freight router just to get the job done or see if my dremel tool will work.

AEV salta rims and free spin hubs

I know this is not 100% accurate but it looks like a simple trim of the center cap and the dynatrac kit will work, hub bore looks like it’s ok. After researching more, I think the article posted on AEV forum was for a cab chassis truck converted to SRW.

AEV salta rims and free spin hubs

Looks like the hub bore may need to be increased, I think it may work without on the 4th gen, I looked at the bore spec and size of the hubs. Keep your fingers crossed!

    2015 Ram 2500 Carli/Thuren Build W/Four Wheel Camper

Good to hear, I’m running the carli radius arms with the back country lift and AEV rims, are you getting much run at full lock? The specs of those tires say they are taller and wider than the 37x12.50... allot wider.

    2015 Ram 2500 Carli/Thuren Build W/Four Wheel Camper

Any long term updates on the 37.13.59’s? I’m thinking about a set for my next set of tires.

Looking for advise: Upgrades needed for Ram 2500 to carry truck camper?

Commercial grade tires that allow for a higher load capacity, ties flex less. 19.5 rims are standard on 4500 and 5500 trucks along with ford variants. A SRW truck on 19.5’s would be great for an in bed camper.

Looking for advise: Upgrades needed for Ram 2500 to carry truck camper?

FYI some people run 19.5 wheels and tires with in bed campers, if you are planning on going that route check out Rickson wheels. If I were running an in bed camper and did not do allot of off-roading or did not need to air down tires I would have a set of 19.5 wheels. Check out the turbo diesel...

Looking for advise: Upgrades needed for Ram 2500 to carry truck camper?

Congrats and welcome! You got a great truck that will take you far, is easy to work on and the aftermarket support is great. Are you planning on a whinch, whinch bumper, larger tires, after market suspension or any other mods? Or are you planning on keeping it basically stock? For the time...

AEV salta rims and free spin hubs

Update for those that are interested, looks like the hub bore on the AEV rims should be ok, based on internet research, but the center cap will just need to be cut. Next week I hope to pull a rim off and see if the hub will slide through it.
