    Full size truck considerations

I'd still much rather have airbags, 10 ply tires that eat into my payload than max it out without that stuff lol

Huh, my lifted, 35" 10 ply tire, 4wd supercrew ecoboost gets 16mpg, going from 5000 feet where I live, to 1400 feet where I work every day (I never drive flat highway, it's always up a hill or down, which is dramatically worse on fuel than flat), at 80mph.

New Overlander, want to stay a Ford man

70k budget would build a ************ expedition truck, what I would do; 2011-15 F2/350 6.2l Gas, ~$30k buys you a very nice one. Used FWC, ~$20k should get you one. Basic flatdeck, ~$4k gets a nice basic one with a few boxes 35" tires & 18" wheels, ~$3000 Carli 2.5" backcountry system $~2500 with...

Whoa how is your truck so light with all the gear and camper? My 2019 Crew short XLT scaled dead empty, 1/2 tank of fuel, and one occupant at 5732lbs I scaled it with a quad (1151lb) (I would guess similar in weight to the camper?) full tank of fuel, one passenger, gear and fuel for two days at...

Why bother with velcro? All the REAL overlanders know duct tape is the proper way to mount a flatbed. Cheap, stretchy, and best of all, it's shiny. Then, when you're setting up your industrial 600 sq ft kitchen... Errrrr... Camp kitchen... You have a way to keep the lid on #4 smoker slightly...

Kinda ************ pics with where the sun is, but I had a bush scratch pretty bad on one of the flares, so I had them Line-x'ed. Looks so good!! Will get a better pic another day. I really, REALLY like how it breaks up the red and ties in with the black wheels and emblems!

    High milage on 2015 4x4 F 150

That's like asking if you buy a lottery ticket, will it be a winner? You might blow the motor tomorrow, it might last for another 300,000 miles. Drive er til she bucks, or buy a new one because they're nice. Lol.

See I can get two pieces of metal to stick together, just don't ask them to withstand extreme loads, such as a gentle breeze, or possibly a sneeze. :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO: I need to take a welding course I think.

    2023 Ford Raptor- Continuation

Well this is rather exciting. I just had my offer accepted on a just under 5 acre chunk of land. Will be an off-grid cabin. About 1/4 acre cleared, the rest beautiful old ish growth timber, which I will use some of to build a large cabin/small house. Land has no buildings on it at all. I will...
