ARB fridge stopped working off battery???

Have you checked the fuse holder in the inline harness? I’m betting you find a corroded fuse in there.

ARB fridge stopped working off battery???

Where are you grounding? Did you say what type of vehicle? Check that your grounds are clean and then do a resistance test of your ARB wire in place. Might need a friend for extra set of hands. On edit... I’m guessing TJ is the vehicle. You can probably resistance test the whole harness...

ARB fridge stopped working off battery???

It is hard to tell from your photo, but you are testing power in the socket? The place where you would plug in a cig lighter? You need next to divide and conquer. Unplug the DC cord from the back of the fridge. Plug the cord into the cig outlet and check for power where that cord plugs into...

ARB fridge stopped working off battery???

Throwing parts at something is unlikely to help you. You have power at the end of the cord, so a wiring kit is NOT your problem. Isn’t there a fuse in the power panel in the back of the fridge? I don’t recall exactly. This community will generally help you figure this out.

Help Needed - Bantam T3-C Custom Axle Measurements

Leaf springs? That might make a difference over an independent setup. Also, what wheels are you running?

Questions about design for ultralight bed-on-wheels (codename: Siesta)

Have you thought about building the wheels into the sides of the trailer instead of having outside fenders? It gives you more interior room and I think might be more aerodynamic, but a blowout is more likely to cause significant damage to the trailer.

Black pipe nipple diameter for platform legs

I would imagine that 1/4” or even 1/8” black pipe is more than sufficient to that task. Pick whatever is cheap and easy to find. The OD of the floor flanges will probably drive your decision more than anything else.

Questions about design for ultralight bed-on-wheels (codename: Siesta)

Are you planning to tow at 80 mph with a Fiesta? Is a Fiesta something different than the little Ford bubble I have in my head? Can they even go 80? This is noted in some other threads here, but just because those little tires can hit, or are rated for, 80... doesn’t mean the wheel bearings...

Questions about design for ultralight bed-on-wheels (codename: Siesta)

Aside from staples, what will bond the canvas to the foam And then bond that to the flat floor/frame? The foam alone can make a very rigid box if you can essentially weld the seams. I’ve never worked with it, so I don’t know what products can bond it well. If it was firm enough, and you had a...

Questions about design for ultralight bed-on-wheels (codename: Siesta)

How are you framing the upper portion of the trailer? With a light duty lower frame, the wall frame can help provide a significant portion of the overall trailer rigidity, which should help tremendously with twisting.

Questions about design for ultralight bed-on-wheels (codename: Siesta)

Truck bed liner has a bad tendency to peel off of plywood. You are probably better off with just a good quality plywood and paint. Think about the span inside and across your frame members. 1/2” MDF will most definitely collapse through if you kneel in the wrong place. Plywood will be much...

FYI - Fraud Listing for a '88 Land cruiser on Facebook

I’m fairly certain that no 1988 Toyota that has ever been within 1000 miles of Maine looks that good. It might have been believable as a desert car.

Questions about design for ultralight bed-on-wheels (codename: Siesta)

I would stay away from MDF, especially in the flooring. It is heavy, holds screws poorly, and any twisting will tear it apart, assuming it doesn’t get wet and just melt. Your drawings aren’t really enough to get the whole picture in my head, but I’m guessing that you could go lighter on the...

FYI - Fraud Listing for a '88 Land cruiser on Facebook

Possibly curbstoning? All of the photos are taken in a residential neighborhood but the address listed is a commercial corner with a few sketch auto dealers a gas station and a collision center. I’m guessing a Vegas member could drive by tomorrow and confirm the existence of this rig?

Surprised No One Is Talking About Cat Thefts

Maybe discouraged by a vibration monitor that dumps tire air? It is an issue everywhere. Metal theftof all kinds remains an issue here too. I think it went down a bit when they started making scrapyards pay by mailing a check though.

25K miles on KO2 before I gave up

I gave up on 5 tire rotations on my Jeep. The spare is always bent into a “dish” shape by the tire mount to the point where it can have huge balance and vibration nightmares any time you put it into operation. Put a framing square on it and look how bad it is, mine tends to be insane, so I...

    Raise Hitch Winch

You might want to draw out the force/vector diagram for that one. Just because the line of the force comes back into the same point or a similar point does not indicate that a problem is corrected. All of the components of the system still feel individual forces. The closest analogy that...

    best swamp cooler location

Pull fresh air, don’t try to recycle it. After 1 pass through it will have picked almost all the water it can, thus the second and third passes and so on will have severely diminishing returns... that is my guess. If that wasn’t true, home units would have return ducts, instead they just go...
