nice sunny day:
im pretty pleased with it, though im sure it would look better with some metallic flake in it (tuxedo black)
anyway, im really happy with the exhaust now. its still a bit loud but i get a its buttery smooth. and on another note i ordered an AFE CAI today at a massively...
if i may, you may want to look at replacing those heims at some point with a better joint like a Currie johnny joint or similar style ball joint from Ballistic fab. reason i say this is those heims lack any way of getting lubrication short of putting some 3-1 oil on the exposed bearing and over...
some months later, an update appears!
i ended up pulling the entire light system out. i wasn't pleased with how everything came together. it became a rats nest and not up to my standards of clean. so i decided that when money comes available a new bumper with an exterior Vision X 40" LED bar...
the FX4 is a great platform to start out with. just work your way into where you want to be with your vehicle. i myself would like to be in the pre-runner/expo mix with my F150. high speed offroad ridiculousness coupled with camping gear
its a process, a really expensive one. good luck :)
i can't wait to see what your shell ends up looking like. i too have been hunting around. i was looking at the LEER's and the guy wanted a little over 2 grand for the shell out the door. i can see the reasoning but jeeze is that a lot of money for some fiberglass and paint.
thanks for pointing...
you can "raptorize" your F150 already. the whole high speed race concept is WILDLY different than rock crawling as you can see/already know
this truck is not setup well for baja, its very very heavy. between the tires, boat siding, dana 60 front, dana 80 rear and all the additional armor; they...
it depends on what state you live in as far as making it street legal. for example, Kentucky - the state i live in has no tire coverage laws. fenders are simply not a required item. and if i remember correctly, in California where this truck was built and will live for a while till it starts...
i gotta say, go the biggest tire you can reliably fit. these trucks components are so large and heavy duty that you're not going to see any increased wear all the way through a 37" tire. if you short yourself the tire you thought about by thinking yourself down, you'll always want the bigger...
i know there is atleast one person on this forum that gets excited to see a TON of buttons on a dash that you get to press and learn, with that said - think of how excited id be to have 4 shifters! :D
this looks great, coming from a highly modified Jeep background this has been fun to read...
it did effect the wear on the MT/R's being mounted blackwall out. there is a reason the sidwall says "this side outboard"
give them another Go when they're mounted properly. and i can give you a bit of advise from the Jeep world. black shoe dye will make the white letters black permanently
the mount needs to be rebuilt and strengthened laterally. it bounces all over the place. its on the to do list and i have just been so swamped lately with stuff i havnt had a chance to get to it yet
i can say though that i removed the night shades from the Hella 700's because of it reducing the...
