I put some miles on an 04 2500hd doing SAR and I hated that dang gas pedal on rough roads. The truck also had a loud exhaust on it making it even more obnoxious when you'd hit a bump and accidentally floor it. Sweet write-up and pics, a full size domestic makes for a pretty sweet travel rig.

I dig this thing. Would make a sweet rig for my full-timing plans. I'm really uneasy about giving up 4wd though.

I think they made some in the 70s. I have seen a few running around. Nothing in the 80s-mid 90s AFAIK. OBS were only offered in 96-97 F250. Centurion also did conversions on OBS 150s. They started with a regular cab I believe.

Went to the location I got mine from based on the app saying it was in stock. All other stores in my area were "availability unknown." Mine was on an end cap, no spot in the regular cooler aisle.

Picked up a 52 qt at the Park City WM today. They had 2 more. Went and looked at the igloo sportsman at costco, may have bought it if they had a smaller size available but they only had the 70ish quart. The drop in altitude coming home caused mine to vacuum seal so I think my drain plug is good...

52 QT in-stock online right now. But an acquaintance says Costco has an igloo 48 or 54 quart (wasn't sure) for $90. May check that out first to see if its true.

Does this taper in the back to match the superduty bed or does it overhang on the rear of the bed rails?

I was hoping you'd decide to sell again, but when my wife was done with grad school. Been thinking of ditching both my rigs for one smaller truck and have always loved this thing. I'd love to come take a look at it, but I think my wife would kill me. GLWS!
