Awesome rig. I love the older pickups with a lower SAS, some 35's, and a 3.4. Awesome work, looks super clean. My vote is for the cement gray from the FJ.
I can't find those Polyperformance coilover wraps anywhere on their site. Would you happend to remember where they were located or have a link?! Thanks
My brother just let me know that a nice package showed up for me today..... finally, the long long long long long long long wait is over and my coilovers have arrived. :Wow1:
But on the flip side I won't be putting them in for another month or so. I decided that with my lack of time and the...
I know.... can't wait! It sounds so good too.
I hear yah... I didn't want something obnoxious either, especially being a nice Lexus I can see your point. I would still do longtubes though if your going to swap your headers. Worth it for the extra power alone. Let's see some mods to your...
Tomorrow? Next month? I'd like one asap but I would be willing to wait if the timeframe was reasonable. I've kind of planned on being "bumperless" for the summer but the sooner the better really. Like I said, willing to give a deposit if it helps.
Funny you say this... My initial thought was that the diff was moving around. However I went under there today to check every bolt that I un-did while the truck was apart (minus the headers themselves of course) and everything checked out ok. I wonder if I somehow installed the diff mounting...
Awesome pic. Higher resolution?
LOL A wise investment!
GLWS, very nice truck. Too bad my brother just picked up his 4R, this would have been a nice (local-sh) alternative.
Oh, you have no idea.... haha it revs SO much faster is all I can really tell as of now. But that will be a combination of the gears and free-flowing exhaust.
CV's is what I was thinking. I just find it weird that they were perfectly fine (no clicks/pops) before the diff install. I wonder if...
Truck is rolling again!

I have a popping/clicking sound coming...
This won't necessarily help your cooling issues, but something I thought I'd mention: I found a Aux. OEM fan that came on 2nd Gen 4Runners that had the "tow package" and installed it on my 80 series. I wired it to a manual switch and that little fan drastically helped bring my temps down on the...
It would work for sure. I have thought about doing it in the rear to get more uptravel back there. The problem is once you remove the fold on the edge of the fender, it looses a lot of it's structural strength and the fender becomes flimsy. All my 2nd Tacoma buddies up here with 35's and Long...

Moderately acceptable. LOL Well looks like all I need to do is start looking for that FJ55 shell and gather 50K from under the pillow cushions, and you'll be set for your next project!
In all seriousness, thanks for sharing this truck and the 40. Truly inspiring and so fun to watch.
Yah my old flanges were 3 bolt, but the longtubes won't line up with the flange. My TRD headers come down quite a bit farther than the old flange before the cats. I'm away until Saturday, but might be able to grab a photo when I'm back. Hoping to drop off the Tundra on Sat before I leave for...
