The CUCV Build-1986 M1031 Mobile Field Maintenance Assault Vehicle

Oh look at that. I stand corrected. Didn't think they came so inexpensive, good deal! I know those Yeti and Pelican coolers go into the hundreds. But this fridge looks like feasible option if the old college minifridge poops out.

1997 Tiger CX - Factory built on a 1993 Cummins 5.9 and a Manual transmission.

Man, this thing looks awesome! It's got that hint of retro style, but with a Cummins!

Oh the shower is best luxury item on the rig. Skylight? One of those camper roof vents would have been perfect. I put a lot of thought into it, but as we used the truck camping here and there, found out that we really didn't need it. The insulation keeps the heat from the sun out of the truck...

Off the one deep cycle battery on a 1000watt inverter, the fridge and solar combo, without running the truck, lasts a couple days, which is perfect for our needs. And can't beat free, so we're gonna run it until something either fails or blows up.

Show me your "Adult" rigs and how you keep them running.

I'd agree with the whole 25-30 year thing, all my rigs qualify regardless. But the original posting says 18+ years, so it's ok to see young adults here and there. I know they are a little immature at times, but they are still legally adults, so just bare with them. Now what would be awesome is a...

The kitchen pantry is good to go, got running water to wash dishes, stove to cook on, microwave for when we're lazy, and a cooler to keep things that need to stay cold, cold. For years, this cooler has done the job. It's an old military mermite cooler. It's all aluminum and keeps ice for days...

Got some mods to the kitchen pantry. Some drawers! Some simple aluminum c-channel, drilled and riveted, will be grooves for these tubs to slide into. Two tubs is a good amount. the tubs can slide out, contents removed, and now we have two wash tubs for cleaning dishes! In the meantime...

Can never have too much ammo. Tis better to have it and not need it, than need it and not have it... Just don't mix that 5.56x45mm with that 7.62x33mm in the same gun!

Oh yes, it flexes well. I'm sure your rig flexes just as good. Good ole' Chevy square bodies... Already over-flexed it once, don't wanna do that again... :squint: But since I had installed the overdrive unit, I no longer required the taller tires to gain higher top speed. So I swapped out the...

This is probably the last thing anyone thought would be said, but we need more storage, haha. Above the rear wheel wells, there is quite a bit of unused space... I bet we can make these shelves just big enough that we can squeeze some ammo cans in there... Had to bend some funny brackets...

Upgrades will never cease! But I think we're gonna need more batteries. And some words one could use to describe the front bumper upgrade might be, "Holy crap!" or something like that.

The truck needs more power. No, not that kind of power, DC power. Currently there are two group 31 starting batteries that do everything on the truck. We also have one alternator being used to charge those two batteries and have had the other alternator sitting around as a spare. Well, we're...

Ok, so we got a place to sleep, shower, and even an awning to cook under when it rains. But where does one poop? Let's face the facts here, everyone poops. For thousands of years, man has been pooping in the woods just like every other animal. Urinating is easy, well at least for us guys. You...

Hmmmm, maybe you can build some kind of support rib that goes top to bottom inside the van and mount all the folding steps through the sheet metal to the rib. Maybe go buy one of the folding steps and get an idea of the forces at hand and try something. There is always a way to get anything to...
