I remember those days too. :)
I spent many an hour at my local HD dealer weighing my options, but money was tight ... and I couldn't justify another bike.
I really liked the idea of the Buell concept. The super torquey and reliable 1200 platform in a sport tourer / dual sport frame should...
I really like the exterior aesthetics of the new JLU. The new grill, hood side vents, and "rounded body edges" (my best description) work, imho.
And I am intrigued to try the new 6MT.
That said, I have no plans to trade in my JKU for a JLU. Maybe in years time, I will buy one, tho.
I have the most basic, least expensive montly plan. It costs something like $13/month, and outbound texts are like $0.10 each.
For me, the fee structure for unsubscribing/subscribing worked out to be more than just leaving it on full time. Plus there is the convenience of having it, and not...
Absolutely, correct.
The text feature is especially nice. And, I do use it a lot.
I don't use the map share feature, but I know that people do like it.
I have used a Garmin Oregon 450 for hiking and Jeep navigation for some time.
I like the fact that I can use a single device for both activities.
That said I am starting to toy with the idea of upgrading to this for my Jeep:

No worries. :)
I do a lot of backcountry hiking in the Grand Canyon, and some years ago decided to carry a PLB after witnessing another party use their uni-direction SPOT.

Anyhow, this past spring I was hiking down the Hermit...
I have no opinion on whether or not the price is good.
But, I have a very positive opinion of this device. Highly recommended.
And no, no affiliation with Delorme / Garmin. I just had the unfortunate opportunity to use the SOS function, and it worked.
I will explain my reasoning for buying a PowerTank.
I have a Viair 300P which works okay for my 255/80/17 KM2's.
I have been contemplating an upgrade for some time, and debated between a more powerful electric compressor and CO2. I may go up a tire size (35's) when it is time for new tires...
Another happy InReach user here.
I take it with me whenever I am in the backcountry, and often use the text feature to keep in touch with friends and family.
I did have to call an SOS last March and was very pleased with it's performance.
Does anyone have experience with CO2 fill service vendors in the Phoenix AZ or the SE Valley?
Google presents a number of vendors, but I am wondering if anyone has specific recommendations, good or bad.
I am looking to fill a 10lb Powertank.
Thanks!
Congratulations on finding your Tundra!
I bought a brand new 1st Gen Tundra AC, SR5, TRD 4wd in 2000. Trouble free except for a bad intake manifold and the infamous rusty frame.
Loved that truck but after 14 years and 180k, I had to make some hard decisions. The frame condition scared me. The...
