Living with a Powertank

Just curious why you do this yearly? I cant remember exact specs but I believe hydros only have to be done every..5 years? Something along those lines. Leakage isn't really a concern for me since mine is mounted in a vented external compartment but if the op were concerned he could mount a...

    My FJ60

That's a really nice looking old LC. Since you asked (I know) here's what I would do. Put a mild leveling lift on there with some aggressive-ish looking ATs. Mount some kind of tablet device to the dash pointed at the driver with a map as the display. Topographic is a bonus. Now get a roof...

Belafonte Reboot....Ambulance to 4x4 Camper Conversion

Maybe no triangle or circle at all? Wife says lose the triangle, so I'm assuming she'd say lose the circle as well. Plus I think I could swing adding one via gimp if I really wanted to see it. Not sure what other ideas you mean, but if you feel up to it and are enjoying doing it, go for it...

    Living with a Powertank

What was the trouble you were having. It's just a standard co2 tank that any welding gas supplier should be able to handle. The only issue would be the certification date. Tanks have to be pressure tested and if they're expired most places won't fill till they're current. I bought a tank...

Belafonte Reboot....Ambulance to 4x4 Camper Conversion

No no. I wish I were young enough, ergo I'm not. Crikey, I used to make copies by banging out an original document on a stencil and then cranking it around on a mimeograph machine till I was blue in the face.

I thought about changing/eliminating the triangle, but not for that reason so, good point! Thought inside a circle maybe, but leaning toward nothing at all, just the symbol.

Hehe. I don't think that's supposed to be a tread pattern. Just a....dunno, hash mark pattern? Anyway not treads, but I DID look at tread patterns and in the end decided I liked it as is. I've seen that pattern used in movies around areas that are meant to be "secure" or to denote some...

Belafonte Reboot....Ambulance to 4x4 Camper Conversion

It's all good Pat. The actual final design has yet to be nailed down, and to be honest I wasn't sure on keeping the triangle anyway. If I lose the triangle it makes reorienting the hazard logo a bit easier. I may or may not want to drop the size, at least in any significant way, but it may...

Seems a bit heavy, though I have zero experience with the model. I know (I think!) my Ambo weighed around 9200 before the conversion, and that was with the bulk of the "camper" stuff inside, though probably not as extensive as your camper stuff. I had the fridge, sink, stove, bench seating...

What's a transparency? I WISH I were young enough to ask that question! :(

Do you happen to have the original, without the red lines on it? Not sure if it would matter or not but I'd rather have it without if possible.

The projector was kind of my thought, but rather than taping I thought about hanging some masking paper down the side, projecting on that, and then cutting it all out as stencils. That way I can spray one side and then transfer the paper to the other side without having to retape the design on...

Do you think you could send me whatever graphics files you used? I'm assuming you overlaid them onto my picture via multiple layers? I'm thinking of how to blow them up to correct physical size and then turn them into stencils.

I like the beejeezus out of this one, and probably not too hard to paint in there. Good job man.

I'm not too awful worried about heat back here in Ohio. Maybe if i lived out in the southwest I'd be more concerned. Wrap would have been the simplest thing, if I had left it the factory white surface, but the vinyl places around here are freakin nuts on price. They wanted $800 just to do...

Not sure what you're after for a bike mount out back but this is what I did. I didn't want a receiver mount and I didn't want to have to pull a tire. [/IMG]

2 min? It would take me 2 years to figure that out. Great start though. That is the kind of ideas I need. I can't come up with the design, but once I see something I can usually figure out how to make it happen. And when I said graphics it doesn't necessarily have to be scenery or...
