    M416 or start from scratch?

This right here. If you can be happy with adding a few bits n bobs an M-416 is hard to beat. If you end up adding 4x the mass you started with so you can have racks, mounts, cans, bottles, boxes, batteries, swimming pools and disco balls, you might as well start from scratch because odds are...

    Two days late.....Two dollars short

Haha! Dude, right idea but wrong conclusion. When I said "more than one guy" I meant it, but I don't remember who they are and they for sure aren't me. :)

    Two days late.....Two dollars short

Boy you'd really have to be fond of lights to spend the money on those Rigids. Over $450 for just one of those D-series. I could hire an illegal alien, excuse me, Undocumented Resident, to stand around outside holding a freaking lantern for way cheaper.

Belafonte Reboot....Ambulance to 4x4 Camper Conversion

Thanks, I appreciate it. Any particular reason you're mixing kits? And just for the record, if you want plug and play on your front end, 8" is the standard recommendation for 37" tires. I get away with 6" "usually", but with the right combo of turning and body roll I can get a tire just into...

    Two days late.....Two dollars short

You know, there's more than one guy floating around here with a 3D printer, probably just looking for an excuse to use it. Maybe someone could whip you up some wedge shaped inserts to go between the lights and the ambo to get the angle you're after.

    The Bush Winch

It's not meant to do everything you can do with a regular winch, but it does have some advantages. It's gone when you don't need it, you don't need to worry about some extra beefy battery(s) to run it (along with the wiring), and it's way lighter. I'm sure it would fit the bill for most folks...

    2008 Ford E350 V10 4WD

Ok that makes quite a bit more sense. I thought it was just an issue of the windows.

    RTT and wet beds :/

Shoot, no worries. When mine was 2 months old she was on a 15 hr flight to Japan, and I bought her a dog bed to sleep in. It worked great and she slept like a rock pretty much the whole way.

    2008 Ford E350 V10 4WD

Another bump in the process, and maybe some kind of dumb question but, wouldn't it be easier to just put windows in it?

Belafonte Reboot....Ambulance to 4x4 Camper Conversion

I would reconsider. This tire/wheel combo is close to 200# a piece. Tire choices are limited in the 16.5 category and quality surplus are getting harder to find and more expensive when you do. The Craig's ad you listed: Those prices are high. The 12 jolts can be had for around $50 a...

Buying & Building a Medium Ambulance into an RV – The FAM-BULANCE

I know Pat, just pointing out their existence. Btw, that wheeled coach logo got one step closer to the post. I actually remembered to grab it today while in the garage. And then left in in my golf cart after running the kids around for the neighborhood trick or treat thing. But Hey! At...

Show me really cool flatbed ideas for my StuperDuty

I think good sense is going to prevail (for once) and I'm going to more or less just run with it. I do need to work out the gooseneck/5th wheel thing, but beyond that I think I'll build a decent side kit for it, bolt down my 31 yr old Knaack gang box, and call it a day for the flatbed...

7.3 Diesel what should be replaced

I know, that's why I said "when it comes wrapped in a truck". I get the draw of a 7.3 but good lord. The premium some guys want is just ridiculous. Ok, back on topic. Really check out your electrical while you're in there. I mean main engine harness and especially all the connectors...

Buying & Building a Medium Ambulance into an RV – The FAM-BULANCE

Photoshopped, but there are some real life comparables out there, though maybe not quite as stout. Do a search on snowcats. There's one based on a VW micro bus that's pretty cool.

7.3 Diesel what should be replaced

That's not possible. Everyone knows nothing goes wrong with the 7.3 PS, EVER. That's why people want $15,000-$20,000 for 15yr old 250k+ plus trucks. Saw a low mileage '01 last week the guy wanted $28k for. The 7.3 is some pretty expensive koolaid, at least when it comes wrapped in a truck.

Show me really cool flatbed ideas for my StuperDuty

For my needs it doesn't "need" to be a flatbed, it just is, so why not do something interesting?

Btw, do basements exist anywhere in Florida? Having a hard time imagining a life without a basement under the house.

Show me really cool flatbed ideas for my StuperDuty

I'll try to get a shot of what I'm working with this weekend, but it looks pretty much like the Baha'i chase truck, minus the side panels. No camper planned. There's a gooseneck hookup in it whose execution I feel to be a bit shoddy, so I'd like to replace it with a turnover ball gooseneck...
